As the classic truck market continues to become hotter and hotter, we are starting to see more 80's era trucks finally start to get the respect that we feel they deserve. Take for example this wonderfully done sleeper of an '85 Chevrolet S-10. With low weight and a big motor, this S-10 is very unassuming and will impress just about any true truck guy.
Right away you will love the look of this S-10. Covered in a vibrant blue, the truck features a bunch of custom components to give it that one-off look that we all crave. It starts at the front where the grille and chrome bumper still shine extremely well today. From there a large hood scoop was added to the hood to make room for V8 power below. It was then shot with a set of white racing stripes that stretch to the back of the truck. As you follow the stripes you will make your way past aftermarket mirrors, a bed cover that covers the bed that has been lined with carpet and stanced wheels. Description
Covered in a slick coat of vibrant blue, the truck features a bunch of custom components to give it that one-off look that we all crave. It starts at the front where the grille and chrome bumper still shine extremely well today. From there, a cowl induction hood was added to make room for V8 power below. It was then shot with a set of white racing stripes that stretch to the back of the truck. As you follow the stripes you will make your way past aftermarket mirrors, a tonneau cover that hides a bed lined with carpet, and a nice wing to tie it all together. Out back the Chevrolet tailgate looks great with the racing stripes and is accented by the chrome bumper and exhaust tips.
Inside the blue custom theme continues. Open the door and you'll be greeted by two blue cloth bucket seats that are separated by a center console. Originally leaving the factory as an automatic, someone took their time to change this over to a floor mounted shifter. Also you'll see that the blue carpets are protected by floor mats that are branded with "The Heartbeat of America." The wood veneer dash is a unique twist on things and is equipped with an additional aftermarket AM/FM/CD Player. It has also been upgraded with a water, temp, volt and a column attached tachometer gauge. Lift the bed cover and you'll see the bed has been lined with the same aforementioned blue carpet for a very custom look, and even features custom Heartbeat of America stitching.
Often picked for a V8 conversion, its easy to understand why when you go for a ride in this S-10. Under the hood you'll find a 350ci V8 lying in wait. Pulled from a 1975 2500 series C10, this isn't just your normal small block. Rather this is a fully built 350 that is ridiculously fun to drive. The engine has been upgraded with forged pistons, crane roller lifters, Michigan 77 bearings, sealed power chrome rings, chrome moly push rods, SPS rod bolts, ARP head bolts, and a high volume high pressure oil pump, to quickly name a few parts. The time spent on the engine was well worth it and the engine looks fantastic against the blue firewall. Equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, power front disc brakes, and power steering, this S-10 is ready for the open road. Bolted to the small block is the automatic transmission that sends the power to the ground thanks to 15" American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels that have been wrapped in BF Goodrich radials.
It doesn't get much better than a sleeper. This S-10 is primed to put a smile on your face, and a surprised look on others. Call Today!
