We're seeing more and more "dare to be different" hot rods, and if you have a family that likes a little luxury with their performance, this 1937 Buick deserves a closer look. You don't see many '30s Buick rods, and this handsome Special sedan provides style, comfort, and performance in equal doses.
The bright blue paint certainly makes this Buick a real attention-grabber, but the good news is that it stands up to the scrutiny. The build is a few years old so it's got some mileage on it, but the handsome Buick shape and tall, narrow grille make it one of the best-looking cars of the era. Long, sweeping fenders, those cool bullet-shaped headlights and matching running lights atop the front fenders, and the narrow grille bars make it look fast just sitting still. They removed the hood sides for a genuine hot rod look and some of the trim has vanished along the way, so it looks clean and sleek, not frumpy. The bumpers were also shaved, so it looks compact and muscular, and the stance is just about perfect.

Description
The two-tone interior is simply extraordinary, combining artistic craftsmanship with high-tech entertainment systems to make it truly one-of-a-kind. The cream seating surfaces give it a luxurious feel, and the orange inserts and trim are actually the same color and material as a basketball, so it gives it a very unique look that actually works very well. The driver gets a full array of VDO gauges that look suitably vintage, and a custom center console was fabbed up to hold the A/C controls and one of the five TV screens inside the cabin. A tilt steering column with a pretty wood-rimmed wheel has a traditional look and the low-key tan carpets and sisal mats work well to keep it all tied together. The AM/FM/CD stereo system is augmented by speakers throughout the interior plus two giant subwoofers in the trunk, so it's easy to fill the interior with sound. There are TV screens in the dash and built into the head rests for back seat occupants, so it's ideal for road trips if that's what you're into. Everything works and the attention to detail is impressive in every way.
The engine is a smooth-running 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 that's detailed enough to look great through the open hood sides, but not so over-chromed that it's a part-time job keeping it clean. Standard upgrades like an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, and long-tube headers mean that it's plenty powerful to move the luxurious Buick sedan, and it's been upgraded with R134a refrigerant in the A/C system, power steering and brakes, as well as a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The front clip offers disc brakes, while the 10-bolt out back packs highway-friendly gears for effortless cruising. A custom dual exhaust system uses resonators and mufflers for a unique sound that never gets annoying on the highway (no need to fight with the entertainment system, right?) and the stance is exactly right. Beautiful chrome Boss wheels fill the fenders and carry giant 245/35/20 performance radials.
A unique car that gets everything exactly right, this big Buick is big time affordable fun. Call today!
