There's no denying the fun and versatility that a Jeep CJ7 offers. This 1980 CJ7 represents the best of the classic “old school” CJs, and combines the rugged good looks of the traditional off-roader with daily driver friendliness. Since serving on the battlegrounds of World War II, the "Civilian Jeep," or CJ, has been the vehicle of choice for the enthusiast that wants to take their fun off the asphalt and onto the trails. Let's take a look why.
Everyone knows a Jeep when they see it, it is easily one of the most recognizable brands of all time. The iconic round headlights with the 7-slot grille help distinguish the Jeep from all the other vehicles on the road. Ready for the mud to be slung, this CJ7 is extremely clean with its new white paint with a light pearl. The front and rear tubular off road bumpers, along with the front and rear fog lights, prove that this vehicle can take you off the beaten path. On the fenders, the “Renegade” decals fade from light silver to black, matching the fender flairs nicely. On the fenders, the "Renegade" decals fade from light silver to black, matching the fender flairs nicely. The Jeep logo is prominent on the tailgate, and with the ability to remove the doors and top you can enjoy the wind and sun. The tan colored soft top can be worn multiple ways turning this CJ into a vehicle begging for some summer rays. Anyone who owns a Jeep will tell you that that owning a CJ is about the lifestyle, it's not just about transportation.
Some Jeep interiors are pretty basic, but this one has a lot more to offer. The supportive vinyl high back bucket seats are covered in the same tan color as the top and doors. In front of the dash matches the bodywork in a bright white, and it has been filled with the stock gauges along with some auxiliary gauges mounted underneath. The back bench seat, also covered in tan vinyl, can be removed to create more storage area. The fact that this can be an off-roading vehicle is not lost on the interior. The front passenger will find a locking compartment, along with a grab bar for added convenience. The floors have a liner on them so you can get them dirty with no fear of ruining carpet. There is an AM/FM radio to enjoy some music while out and about, and the full convertible top and soft doors are in good condition so no matter rain or shine, you'll be set for a day of enjoyment.
Pop the hood and you'll find a fresh stout 360ci V8 ready for show or go. The black engine bay is accented by the bright blue block and matching blue wiring coming off the distributor. The result is an engine bay that is simply stunning. On top of the engine you'll find an Edelbrock manifold, carburetor and chrome air cleaner. Bolted to the engine is a 4-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels thanks to the 4WD transfer case. Spent gasses travel out the aftermarket headers through dual exhausts that exit in front of the rear tires. Equipped with amenities like front disc brakes and power steering, this is a Jeep that you will love to drive! Power is supplied to the ground thanks to the 15" American Racing rims that have been wrapped in 33" BF Goodrich All Terrain tires.
Tradition is alive and well for Jeep fans, and the CJ7 holds a very special place in the off-roading hall of fame. We cant seem to keep Jeeps as sharp as this in our showroom and this one is already grabbing attention. Call today!
