Looking for a fun short-wheelbase 4x4 that's affordable and loaded? Turns out you can get it all in this 1988 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer edition.
It's not often we get a Bronco II in stock. They meet our requirements for a cool vintage looking off-road vehicle, but they must meet our quality standard before we will sell them. So we're really happy to find one that has been meticulously cared for all these years. The correct red and tan exterior is very clean and straight, and it looks like it is camouflaged for a wheat field at sunset. The excess of the 1980s didn't extend to chrome, so the there is only tasteful brightwork in the grille, bumpers, and a set of 15-inch aluminum wheels that look like a more modern take on Ford's optional deep-dish units. In back is the Bronco hallmark, the optional swing-away spare tire in its original Bronco II cover. Inside is where the top-of-the-line Eddie Bauer package is the most welcomed. It shows that an off-roader can be both rugged and sophisticated. The cloth interior has a nice outdoor pattern that has remained intact on these pristine bucket seats. The same outline is matched on the split folding rear bench. This Bronco has been further upgraded with factory options like power windows, power seats, wood trim decor, and air conditioning. While nearly every inch of this Bronco looks like it is fresh from 1988, there is one nice contemporary upgrade. The original stereo has been swapped for a AM/FM/CD so you can play modern tunes on your way up the trail.
These Broncos have such a great off-road reputation is because they combine a compact wheelbase with good ground clearance. This 1988 model features the updated 2.9-liter V6 motor that has added torque for more power to pull you up the hill. Plus, they come with a shift on the fly electronic transfer case. This is an especially handy feature because when four-wheel drive is suddenly needed, it's usually not during a situation when you want to get out of the truck. While all of this sounds like your perfect off-road toy, this Bronco is also equipped to be driven as long or as far as you want. Feel free to drive this one to work or the campsite with convenient features such as power steering, cruise control, power brakes with discs up front, and a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission for when you're on the highway.
Bronco II's are getting hard to find. An opportunity for one that's this original and clean might never happen again. Call today!!
