When you buy a vintage Mustang, you want the previous owners to have treated the car like it was a family member. For everyone who believes in this rule, read on about this 1967 coupe.
Code I, Lime Gold, is an unusual color today among early Mustangs, because so often people have traded them in for red or black. So now this one is quite a pleasant unique sight, and it only gets better because it was given a slick respray a few years ago to really make that metallic element in the paint 'pop'. This coupe has some great looking chrome on the bumpers, mirrors, taillights, and side emblems, but not everything has to be shiny to be attractive. Just take a look at all the black in the grille, on the lower panel triple-stripe, and the eye-catching GT alloy wheels. In fact, these features give this one a hint of a Steve McQueen Bullitt-style mean streak.
Inside is more of the shining green (officially called Ivy Gold according to ID tag). It's a fantastic look with vinyl that feels nearly factory fresh from 1967. This one even still has its original push-button AM radio in working order! We could go on about the amazingly original impression we get from the interior, but you've probably ... Inside is more of the shining green (officially called Ivy Gold according to ID tag). It's a fantastic look with vinyl that feels nearly factory fresh from 1967. This one even still has its original push-button AM radio in working order! We could go on about the amazingly original impression we get from the interior, but you've probably already spotted the exception. This is a custom center console that provides much better elbow comfort than anything that came from Ford in the 60s. Plus, if you're one of those people who have not yet outlawed sodas in your beloved classic, then you will really appreciate the security of cup holders. If this is not to your taste, the console can be removed easily without damaging the bucket seats. One feature that you will never want to be without is the factory air conditioning, with vents that were integrated into the dash design for the first time this model year, it is a welcomed option.
Under the hood this Mustang has its correct-spec 289 cubic-inch V8. This makes plenty of power from stock, but there was some room for improvement. It has been upgraded with an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, and a performance Cobra-style air cleaner (with matching valve covers). This gives the pony a better stride, and everyone will hear a bit more grunt from your dual exhaust. These upgrades will be great if you want to impress at a Saturday night cruise-in, but this Mustang was built for much more. This one can be your road trip car too, thanks to features like power steering, power brakes (discs up front), and Ford's C4 three-speed automatic transmission. It's even running a 3.25 rear end so you can have some hijinks fun when you want but also have decently low RPMs running down the highway.
This Mustang has led a cared for life, and it has the maintenance records, original bill of sale, and window sticker to prove it. It's been lovingly improved only in the right places. They say it's not easy being green, but this coupe is proving them wrong. Call now before it goes!!
