This 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 SS is a great example of shared DNA improving the breed. With a Corvette-based LS1 V8 making a grossly under-rated 325 horsepower it's insanely fast, and thanks to full documentation, one-owner history, and just 32,123 original miles, it's a great candidate for biggest bang for the buck.
The SS package was developed by SLP but brought in-house by Chevrolet, making this the unquestioned top-of-the-line factory Camaro. Adding more than $10,000 to the F-body's base price, the SS was an expensive piece of muscle, but the guys who know these cars know that they're a heck of a lot faster than they should be. Purchased with the intention to preserve it for the future, this one presents in almost new condition in every way and offers single-ownership history and almost zero modifications, meaning it's led a very easy life. It shows just 32,123 authentic miles, and its overall condition suggests it's been protected every day of its life. The beautiful blue paint is certainly attention-grabbing and with the gaping ram air hood and prominent SS badges, well, let's just say it's got the horsepower to back up the look. The paint has probably never seen anything more ... Please ask for the full description.

The paint has probably never seen anything more aggressive than a lawn sprinkler and someone has spent a lot of free time maintaining it and keeping it shiny. There might be a few signs of use here and there, but they're hardly noticeable and if you like the way these cars look, few are as impressive as this one.
The black leather interior was part of the top-of-the-line package, offering comfort and performance without compromising either. The heavily bolstered leather seats look quite good, showing only very minimal use, and the rear seat doesn't look like it's ever been used. There's a full array of gauges in an easy-to-read instrument panel and everything was standard on the SS, from power windows, seats, and locks to A/C to cruise control, and as you'd expect, it all works. A powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system handles the entertainment that the engine can't (yeah, right), and this one has a 4-speed automatic, which makes its performance incredibly accessible: just stomp and steer! T-tops are always a welcome addition, offering open-air motoring with the security of a hardtop and with fold-down rear seats and a decent-sized trunk, the Camaro is reasonably practical as a real car, too.
The LS1 under the hood was originally rated at 325 horsepower, which was already under-stated by the factory just to keep the Corvette on top, but inside it was identical. This one is completely stock save for the SLP SS package, K&N air filter, and a Corsa exhaust system installed by the dealership when it was new, and it certainly does sound impressive. The engine compartment was never designed to be beautiful, but it's very clean and well-maintained, so someone ensured that it was in top mechanical condition throughout its life. The 4-speed automatic transmission snaps through the gears and is always ready with a quick downshift, and the suspension is still impressively capable even today. Factory chrome wheels are unmarked and wear fat 275/40/17 radials that are probably only the second set of tires this car has ever worn.
Heavily documented with the original dealer invoice, bill of sale, warranty card, and owner's manual, this is a well-kept, unmolested, unabused F-body that's in 100% functional condition. Cars like this are getting rarer every day. Call today!
