Owner's Manual |
There's this great sweet spot where your vintage car also offers value and dependability. This 1983 Datsun 280ZX hits that quality mark. We first bought these coupes decades ago because they were everyday reliable sports cars, but along the way, we fell in love because they were so surprisingly fun to drive. This thoroughly original and pristine example might be your last chance to get all those great feelings while still at a value price.
There is just something elegantly great about the lines of this Z-car. It has the long hood and short deck of the Corvette and the E-Type, but with its own distinctively aggressive sharp-edge style. The Nugget Gold metallic paint is original and looks remarkable well for a 30+ year-old classic. Plus, the color-matching bumpers and the six-spoke alloy wheels still look cool today. All the panels and gaps fit together just as a flawlessly engineered Japanese sports car should. But sometimes the most beautiful parts are the asymmetrical ends, such as the NACA hood scoop.
Open the door, and you know this Datsun has lived a pampered life. The light brown cloth is just about factory fresh on every surface, from the bucket seats to the carpeted trunk. ... Please ask for the full description.

The 280ZX was not only quick, but also comfortable. This means a long list of desired features are standard, including power windows, power locks, power rear defogger, cruise control, and air conditioning - all in perfect working order. The stereo is an AM/FM/cassette model. There are so many adapters out there for modern music players that we think it would be a shame to spoil this unique atmosphere by replacing this very original integrated sound system. Some other interesting items that come with the car includes the original owner's manual, a car cover, and protective pouches for when the T-tops are off. Of course, don't think we forgot about the T-tops! These are like magnets constantly attracting you to take out the glass and go for a wind-in-your-hair drive on every fall Sunday afternoon and hot summer night.
The 2.8-liter motor provides silky smooth torque and a roar that is definitely reminiscent of the great sports cars from Europe. Thanks to fuel injection, it starts easily and pulls smoothly without getting fussy. Despite the complex-looking engine bay, these cars are rather easy to service, and parts are still plentiful. But what will really seal the deal for you on this one is it's five-speed manual transmission, which is a rarity that makes this Z a true driver's car. This coupe has the perfect balance of a sporty suspension, while at the same time, offers comfort features like power steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
This two-owner 280ZX has barely averaged 1,800 miles over its life. It is a coddled example of an appreciating classic at an affordable price. Call Now!!
