STEEL BODY, FRESH CRATE 350 CHEVY, COLD A/C, POWER ADJUSTABLE SEATS, READY TO DR

No, you don't need to spend $100,000 to get a nicely built rod with all the goodies. This 1936 Ford coupe is proof of that. Powered by a 350 cubic inch V8 and beautifully finished inside and out, it's a great car to cruise and show, with a whimsical look that suggests that hot rods don't all need to be super serious to be cool.

Steel adds value, and while the fiberglass makers have come a long way, most enthusiasts prefer the Henry Ford original whenever they can get it, so this one features a Henry Ford body that's been chopped 2.5 inches for a subtle but noticeable look. The fenders are fiberglass but accurately replicate the originals with their creased backbones, and it's all been bathed in a fantastic two-tone paint job with trick multi-colored flames. The timeless Art-Deco shape of the '36 Ford never goes out of style, and all the original details remain, from the dipped bumpers to the louvered hood panel to the exposed door handles. Panel gaps are very good all around, probably better than new, and the doors close with a solid sound that no fiberglass body can match. The running boards are trimmed in rubber, as original, and a set of LED taillights that copy the 1939 Ford teardrops ... Please ask for the full description.

The running boards are trimmed in rubber, as original, and a set of LED taillights that copy the 1939 Ford teardrops give the rear end a high-visibility look.

Tradition was tossed aside for the interior as well, where the twin power-actuated bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl with gray fabric seating surfaces. The original dash remains, with the instrument panel recessed into the dashboard's surface and then filled with Stewart-Warner gauges. There's still a crank-open windshield for ventilation, the round ashtray in the center, and a neatly installed A/C system underneath that can chill the interior like a meat locker. A powerful AM/FM/CD stereo head unit has been neatly hidden in the glove box powering speakers cleverly hidden throughout the interior space. More playful pinstriping ties it together with the bright exterior look and the trunk is upholstered in simple carpet and vinyl so you won't be afraid to use it as intended.

Powering this gorgeous coupe is an anvil-reliable 350 Chevy backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Clearly built for the road and not to show off, the potent powerplant packs a punch where it matters, and is easy to service anywhere in the world. Dress-up includes the chrome air cleaner and a set of finned aluminum valve covers, and everything is clean and tidy under the hood. Power steering and power brakes make it a pleasure to drive, and the A/C uses modern R134a refrigerant. To upgrade the ride to modern standards, a modern independent front suspension was installed, while a Ford 8-inch rear end hangs on leaf springs out back and packs easy-cruising 3.00 gears. The dual exhaust system sounds wonderful, and all the floors are in outstanding condition. It rides on polished Weld wheels with big-n-little radials (185/70/14s in front, 235/75/15s in back) to give it some rake.

Look at the photos and then the price-you should be surprised that this car is as reasonably priced as it is. It's handsome, reliable, and fully sorted, the kind of car that can be driven anywhere, any time. If a slick 1936 Ford is something you've been looking for, you really need to give us a call today!
