What do you do when you love Mustangs, but your wallet is not quite ready for a 50th anniversary model? Try this, a 1999 Ford Mustang GT coupe. Not only does it have more classic car sensibilities right now, but also it's the 35th Anniversary Edition. Plus, this loaded future collectable has barely been broken in at 11,200 miles, and it's still less than the price of a new Focus.
Ford celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Mustang in a big way, that goes way beyond the cool special badges. 1999 was a redesign that toughened up the looks, with sharper bodylines and new more aggressive touches. Of course, what helps really makes this GT model a force on the streets is the hood scoop, rear spoiler, and the Rio Red paint that looks factory fresh. This Mustang has been upgraded further to make it standout from the heard, with billet grilles up front, and 18-inch Raceline knockoff wheels to add a touch of speedy chrome.
The parchment leather bucket seats used in this generation are arguably the best looking factory seats ever offered in a Mustang. The stitching has the perfect pattern for a sport seat, and Ford has the essential running emblem embroidered as a tribute to the original ... Please ask for the full description.

The stitching has the perfect pattern for a sport seat, and Ford has the essential running emblem embroidered as a tribute to the original Pony Package cars 35 years prior. Best of all, these barely broken-in power seats offer all-day comfort. It's an Anniversary Edition, so there are plenty of standard features like power windows, cruise control, power door locks, and a special commemorative gauge package. Because this is a modern classic, that means are also obviously a lot of new car features. This includes dual airbags, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, and keyless entry. The air conditioner runs on modern R134a for easy servicing.
The engine is a revised 4.6-liter SOHC V8 that powered a whole generation of Mustangs following the previously used 5.0. Almost as easy to modify as its venerable pushrod ancestor, this original motor remains entirely stock, which is good news if you're looking for a collector Mustang that hasn't been raced or abused. It runs beautifully, idling smoothly and pulling with seemingly bottomless reserves of torque, and unlike the 5.0, it doesn't seem to run out of breath at high RPM. Another advantage of a modern classic is the use of the original five-speed manual overdrive transmission. The handling is superior with power steering and four-wheel disc brakes that include ABS. The grippy Toyo Proxes T1R tires provide the final touches, and with such low miles, it wouldn't surprise us if this was the second set of rubber ever placed on this coupe.
This is a sports car that has been kept as a collectable since day one, right down to the original owner's manual. This is a fast and affordable car that is just as much fun to drive on the weekdays as it is to show off on the weekends. Call today!!
