EXCELLENT RESTO, 310 WILDCAT V8, AUTO, A/C, PWR STEER. PWR BRAKES, BUICK LUXURY

This 1966 Buick Special Deluxe coupe is the kind of car that earned the marque its “Doctor's Car” image. It has the perfect premium feeling without being too flashy, and this one has been locally kept that way for nearly half a century.

This A-body General Motors coupe carries plenty more curves than its more common Chevelle cousin. Plus, it's hard not to stare at the great two-tone Saddle Mist paint with a Regal Black painted top. That's probably because it's a respray of this Buick's factory-correct shade that occurred a few years ago, and now this coupe is up to concours quality. Buicks are always known for tasteful chrome, and it looks spectacular on this metallic brown car. This is the Deluxe trim, so there was even more brightwork than on the standard model, and this one has been preserved so nicely that all of it is present. Possibly the best part of all is where the roof color and chrome appear to come together on the iconic Buick Rallye wheels.

The interior takes its cues from the roof, too. The vinyl seats are glossily, black, and look brand new. This fresh color extends to the door panels, carpets, and even the dashboard. But what really makes this Buick attractive ... Please ask for the full description.

EXCELLENT RESTO, 310 WILDCAT V8, AUTO, A/C, PWR STEER. PWR BRAKES, BUICK LUXURY

This 1966 Buick Special Deluxe coupe is the kind of car that earned the marque its "Doctor's Car" image.

But what really makes this Buick attractive is the interior trim. There's plenty of brightwork, from the badges embedded in the doors, to the strip of trim that stretches across the dashboard. As a Deluxe model, this also gets a special steering wheel and armrests. Plus there are some great factory options such as the AM/FM radio, and ice cold air conditioning that has been converted to R134a for easy servicing.

Under the hood is Buick's 300 cubic-inch V8 – the Wildcat 310 name on the original air cleaner is a reference to its torque rating. This is the correct motor for the car, and all signs point to it being the powerplant this coupe had when it left the the Flint, Michigan factory nearly 50 years ago. The five bearing motor is both smooth and powerful, which is everything you want in a Buick. Combine this with power steering, power brakes, and an ST-300 automatic transmission, and this Super Deluxe is a true all-day cruiser.

This is a thoroughly documented Buick that includes the original window sticker, dealer invoice, service booklet, and owner's manual. We know this coupe was sold less than an hour from our showroom in Kannapolis, NC, and the car has lived all of its life in that suburb. It's rare that you will ever find a cool cruiser with a full history like this for under $20K. Call today!!
