The Ford Galaxie cars are really starting to come into their own on the classic car market. These cars were truly the full-sized Fords that followed the idea of 'lower, wider, longer' as far as it could – even placing the headlights and taillights as far in the corners of the body as possible. This allowed for some seriously large chrome elements such as the wire wheel covers, the bumpers, and the grille that almost looks billet-style straight from the factory. This originality extends to everything on the two-tier dashboard, with the speedometer and AM radio up high where they're easy to see, and secondary items like the heat/defrost controls as part of a pod down below. While the interior color draws nice attention, when the weather turns wet, there is a tasteful black power folding roof to keep you dry.

Pop the hood and you'll see that callouts on the fenders were not lying. This car has its correct X-code 352 cubic-inch "Interceptor" V8. Best of all, just like the interior, there are many signs that point to this being the original equipment, and it is all dressed up in attention-grabbing gold. It has a four-barrel carburetor and quite nice sounding dual exhaust, so you'll never be have to be without passing power. But really this is the kind of car you can enjoy at a much more leisurely pace. It's a power steering car, with a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission. So some of your happiest moments will likely be the trips in between the car shows and cruise-ins.
