This is a very interesting 1928 Ford Model A Roadster. It's fresh off an excellent restoration where components were added that kept all this classic's charm, while adding in a few features that will only make you want to drive it more.
This Model A has the kind of story you want to tell. A decade ago this was a sedan that belonged to a WWII veteran. He sold it to the next owner who saw huge potential in the chassis. So a new $10,000 roadster body was built, and this vintage Ford was given a complete restoration/rebirth. The entire process was only finished last year, which is why the cream and green paint looks so fresh and stunning. But that's not the only thing that catches your eye. The 1928 Model As are often sought-after for this shorter grille with the bracing bar in between the headlights. And everything on this one looks correct from the red wire wheels to the black folding roof that matches the fenders.
Peek inside and you'll see the seats and door panels have been restored in a great looking and durable brown vinyl.
The exterior color scheme continues on this dashboard, and you see this from behind the fresh and bold tan four-spoke steering wheel. All the gauges in the bright center panel look great and (more importantly) work perfectly. This is the ideal sunny day friend, and if you have more than one companion on your ambling road trips, there's even a rumble seat upholstered to match the front seats.
When you open the hood, you'll see a very honest and correct 200 cubic-inch Ford four-cylinder motor. But then you look a little closer. Keen eyes will spot the six-volt alternator for better reliability. Plus, the motor's restoration included high compression pistons added for better performance. This rebuild happened about 3 miles ago, so you have the opportunity to be just about the first one to enjoy this enhancement (aside from one trip to the local golf course). Just to make sure this would be a joy to drive, there was also nearly $2K invested in obtaining a Mitchell Manufacturing Model A Ford synchromesh three-speed transmission. This will make you one of the few Model A owners not out there double-clutching.
By now you realize just how special and thoughtful the restoration was on this Model A roadster. It was very high quality, and expensive, too, and we have the receipts to prove it. That's why it seems so amazing that you can get such a quality build with such an interesting story for under $25K. Call today!!
