BIG BLOCK 396/375 HP, 4-SPEED MUNCIE, DUALS, FULLY RESTORED DROPTOP 1ST GEN RS!

There are plenty of early Camaros around, and if you want one, you can probably find one cheap enough. But if you demand quality and performance and understand that good cars are worth the added cost, then this 1967 Camaro SS convertible should grab your attention. Beautifully restored in great colors, it's powered by a thundering 396 big block and 4-speed combination, making it one of the best we've seen in a long time.

Marina Blue is the quintessential Camaro color if you want a little elegance with your performance. It looks especially good on the early cars, whose purity of line and minimal ornamentation let the bodywork speak for itself. This car has received a high-quality restoration that's impressive in every possible way; the gaps are tight, the panels are ultra-smooth, and the paint has a depth that only comes from a lot of hand work after the fact. White Z/28-style stripes and a cowl induction hood give it a definite performance vibe even before you notice the SS emblems on the front fenders. This was originally an RS car, so it comes by the cool hidden headlights honestly, with the SS package adding the spoilers and emblems. Shiny chrome bumpers look great, as do the optional ...

Shiny chrome bumpers look great, as do the optional bright wheel arch moldings, adding to the upscale look that makes this Camaro stand out in a crowd.

The black interior is likewise beautifully done and uses accurate materials and patterns throughout. No resto-mod look, just clean, original Camaro gear that will always look great. There are a few discreet upgrades that improve the driving experience, including a tilt steering column topped by a three-spoke wheel and a beautiful set of auxiliary gauges down by the console. There is no radio, and once you hear the L78 cackling under the hood, you won't miss it one bit, especially if you're raking the gears in the 4-speed using that Hurst shifter. Just about everything you can touch has been replaced and while there's some evidence of use, it's pretty darned nice throughout. The factory gauges are bright and crisp, and the speedometer comes with an unusual speed minder and the tach has a correct 6000 RPM redline. A white convertible top fits well and folds more easily than you'd expect, and the trunk is pretty tidy, including the original "salt shakers" in the corners.

This car was originally a 327 but in its place is a stout 396 rebuilt to 375 horsepower specs. The goal was an OEM appearance, and in that regard they've mostly succeeded, starting with the chrome air cleaner and valve covers, along with the Chevy Orange block. Sharp eyes will spot the Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, but details like the GM-logo hoses and reproduction decals help with the illusion. It starts easily and rumbles in the most spectacular fashion, quite unexpected from a vintage Camaro in such an unassuming color. The 4-speed Muncie snaps through the gears and there's a 10-bolt rear end out back, but aside from a chrome rear end cover, it's pretty factory looking. The Flowmaster exhaust sounds great and there's a new gas tank out back, so you won't even think twice about getting in and having fun. Correct Rally wheels look great and carry fat blackwall radials that really fill the fenders properly.

A great-looking ragtop where the quality shows everywhere you look. Plenty of power, excellent workmanship, and a 4-speed just for fun, it's the best way to have fun in an F-body. Call today!
