For those disappointed that this isn't a V8 truck, you really should experience what a torquy 3.9-liter motor feels like. It has potent presence, especially since you have complete control of the powerband thanks to the three-speed manual transmission. The engine bay even looks kind of cool with the block's upright dark appearance, and the aggressive red accents. But more importantly this motor fires up without hesitation, and it's easy to take down the road. In fact, with its GVWR at 5,000 lbs and trailer hitch, this Ford can even be a very cool and distinct way to tow some toys.
