Can you believe you can get this cool cruising convertible for under $25K?! After all, we all know Mopars are the rarest of Detroit's Big Three, and this 1968 Dodge Dart GT convertible is thoroughly complete, and even has an upgraded V8.
The Dart has always been the blocky looking bad boys. The bodywork on this one has remained straight and angular after all these decades. You can see this not only in how the factory-correct yellow shows no ripples, but also its outstanding condition is apparent the moment you check out the clean accent strip that runs along the body and wraps into the rear bumper. Because this is a convertible, those GT badges are legit, and Mopar's iconic Rallye wheels are a nice final touch.
The glossy black power folding roof is the perfect introduction to the factory-correct glossy black vinyl interior. It's ultra-clean inside, and so it's obvious that someone who really loved this car was in charge of its maintenance. The sea of black is broken up by plenty of bright trim on places like the original heat/defrost controls, AM radio, and the inner ring of the large classic steering wheel. The A-bodies might have been Dodge's more compact offering of the time, ... Please ask for the full description.

The A-bodies might have been Dodge's more compact offering of the time, but this Dart GT can take all your family and friends, with belted seating for six.
While this one has a great-looking interior and exterior, you'll instantly know the engine bay has been upgraded the moment you pop the hood. The top GT engine in 1968 was the 273 cubic-inch V8, and this one stays true to that history with what shows signs of being the original block. Having been rebuilt in 2001 (22K miles ago) and there were some performance goodies added, such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Mopar Performance valve covers, and Edelbrock Performer intake. It also received 340 heads, camshaft, and oil pan. The Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission has that perfect balance of easy cruising when you want it, and reliable performance when you want to hammer the upgraded V8 (ditto for the versatile 3.23 rear end and power steering). And when you do use this Dart to have a little fun, the dual exhaust gives a nice added roar, and the limited slip differential helps keep you planted to the road.
When you realize how rare, nice, and complete this convertible is, you'll do a double take on the price. We even have plenty of paperwork, including the original warranty card, owner's manual, and restoration receipts to impress your friends. So we could tell you to hurry up and get this Dart GT, but you already know it's going fast. Call now!!
