Glance back to the early 1950s in America and you'll see most folks driving stodgy Detroit-made 4-door sedans. But then cars like this 1952 Jaguar XK120 show up and it must have been game-changing. If you owned one of these back in the '50s, you were unquestionably The Man, and today they represent one of the fastest-appreciating assets in the hobby. Grab this one fast, because there aren't many that are cheaper and prices are only going up from here.

You may reminisce that you could have bought one of these for relative chump change decades ago, and you're glad you didn't because they're unreliable. Well, that's pure nonsense, because not only is this XK120 flat-out stunning to look at, but it is also a joy to drive. The first of the XKs arrived shortly after the War and the dramatic styling set the world on its ear and things have never quite been the same. The long, flowing fenders defined Jaguar design for a generation and with bright Signal Red paint, the car looks as fast as it is. The restoration is older, but it's in fine condition with few of the issues that you read about in magazines or hear from other enthusiasts.
