Bright chrome, windshield sun visor, wide whitewalls, and that great art deco color make this 1951 Chevrolet 3100 seem like the perfect time capsule. But when you notice how low that air ride suspension gets and hear the sound of the V8, you realize this classy pickup is also custom cruiser.
This Chevy just gets cooler the longer you look at it. You could get a turquoise-like light blue from the factory in '51, but it would have never been such a vivid color. Plus, this tall truck has a huge silver chrome streak, with pieces like its wraparound bumper and legendary five-bar grille that stand out like a pristine art deco skyscraper. And we know you'll love taking this to car shows where everyone thinks you've brought your grandfather's restored pickup... and then you get to watch their jaws drop to the ground at the same time you lower the air suspension right down to the ground. In fact, to fit the larger wheels, gas tank, and other components under the lowered suspension, the truck bed had to be custom raised – a cool custom trick that most people won't notice right away because they're too busy just marveling at the real wood bed and 15-inch Coker wide whitewall tires.

The custom tan interior perfectly mixes original style with modern components. Probably the best example of this is the bench seat. The two-tone tan really looks like it could have been in a high end 50s vehicle, but it has much more padding and is covered in a newer vinyl to give a much more comfortable experience than the standard pickup. There's also plenty of insulation with the matching door panels, full carpeting, and headliner. This was built with the driver in mind, including an upgraded to the stylish car-style steering wheel of 1950s Chevrolet that's finished in a turquoise to match the dash and exterior. Beyond that is a full set of Dolphin gauges that provide all the necessary info with their crisp markings. Plus, your right hand is within easy reach of the 9 way suspension controls, shifter, and upgraded AM/FM stereo.
These 3100-series trucks only had a six-cylinder from the factory, so you'll love lifting the hood and seeing the upgrade to Chevy's legendary small block. Sure, the 283 cubic-inch motor it has shiny valve covers and bold engine paint, but the real attraction is the three-duce set of carbs sitting on top of the Offenhauser intake. When it's fully linked, the setup has the potential to provide this custom pickup with some serious power. And anytime you enjoy the V8, the header-fed dual exhaust lets the world know with a throaty rumble. But don't just think this truck has been customized for glamour. The air ride suspension can also be quite comfortable, especially with the adaptation of the independent front suspension from a Camaro. And when combined with the front disc brakes, power steering, and four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, this cool Chevy is also nicely equipped to eat up the highway miles.
The air ride appearance on such a nicely finished pickup is worth more than the asking price alone. But then you get all the upgrades that make this a true comfortable and desirable classic, and that's why we know you have to hurry if you want to take it home. Call now!!
