No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, this is a 2001 Corvette convertible in a fantastic color combination-WITH A WARRANTY-for seventeen grand. It also offers a few modest upgrades to help it stand apart from all the other C5s out there, but in terms of bang for the buck, this car is off-the-charts amazing.
Let's address first things first: this 'Vette has 147,750 miles on the clock but you'd never guess it from the appearance. It's also covered by a transferable powertrain warranty that's in effect until July of 2015 or 211,000 miles, so you really can buy it without worries. And having spent A LOT of time working on these myself, I can say with confidence that even at this mileage, you probably won't have problems with this 'Vette. We raced them, used them hard, and did everything we could to break them, and failed almost every time. You can buy this one with confidence. The paint remains in great shape, and the Navy Blue finish is one of the better colors on the C5 shape, giving it a sophisticated, understated look that fits with its grand touring mission. There are a few signs of use, of course, but the impression here is of a car that has been loved all its life and someone spent a lot ... Please ask for the full description.

The paint remains in great shape, and the Navy Blue finish is one of the better colors on the C5 shape, giving it a sophisticated, understated look that fits with its grand touring mission. There are a few signs of use, of course, but the impression here is of a car that has been loved all its life and someone spent a lot of Saturday afternoons washing and waxing the bodywork. At a glance, nobody will guess the mileage or the price.
The tan leather interior is loaded up with just about every option on the Corvette wish list, including the upgraded sport seats (power actuated, of course), dual-zone climate control, a heads-up display, traction and stability control, and a great-sounding Bose AM/FM/CD stereo. Have a look at the driver's seat and you'll understand just how nice this car is; it looks hardly used, which says to me that this car was a member of the long-haul gang and didn't have someone jumping in and out for short trips around town. The carpets are equally nice, protected by contrasting Corvette floor mats, and the passenger's seat looks fantastic. The tan convertible top probably spent a lot of its life neatly stowed under the hard shell tonneau, and as a result shows minimal wear and soiling and is ready for another decade of fun. Even the trunk looks great, thanks to a custom-fitted mat.
Chevy's LS1 needs no real introduction and after nearly two decades in production (has it really been that long?!?) you know it's one heck of a powerplant. This one has been nicely dressed under the hood, with color-matched coil covers and a silver intake, both of which dress up the drab black engine bay, and a K&N air filter seems to be the lone "performance" upgrade. Underneath, there's a 4-speed automatic transmission and the stock exhaust system with polished tips. The balsa wood floors, hydro-formed frame rails, and aluminum suspension components don't look like they've spent much time in foul weather, and with cross-drilled rotors, braking performance is still impressive. Stock alloy wheels are wonderfully curb-rash-free and wear appropriately-sized Michelin Pilot radials.
Forget concerns about mileage and remember that the C5 is still one of the fastest 2-seaters on the road. Get your piece of the Corvette hobby for the price of a garden-variety daily driver. Call today!
