VERY NICE 68 SS CONVERTIBLE, 350CI, A/C, TILT WHEEL, EXCELLENT SHOW/DRIVER

We've all watched cars like this 1968 Camaro SS convertible motor down the road and wondered what it would take to own such a machine. Well, wonder no longer, because this nicely finished semi-custom is fully sorted and obviously built to drive.

If it's attention you crave, this car delivers in spades. First, there's that electric blue paint job that simply looks fantastic on the early F-body curves. It's like a supercharged version of regular old Marina Blue with a bit of pearl in the finish to really make it glow. Look a little closer and you'll find high-grade bodywork underneath and it's obvious that the right guys were working on this one. Gaps are good all around and I'm particularly happy that they left the original hood intact, complete with the cool chrome inserts that look like velocity stacks-how can you see that and figure a cowl-induction unit would be an improvement? An early-style stripe around the nose is my personal favorite of the three stripe options on an early Camaro SS, and it's seamlessly blended into the final finish and neatly surrounds the fresh '350' badges on the fenders. Shiny bumpers, a ducktail spoiler, and two-element taillights are other first-generation ... Please ask for the full description.

Shiny bumpers, a ducktail spoiler, and two-element taillights are other first-generation Camaro highlights, with the whole package looking quite appropriate albeit a little more up-to-date than an original car.

Brilliant new white seats inside provide searing contrast with the blue body, but nothing else would look quite right. There are new seat covers front and rear, and the deep pleats on the seating surfaces means that these are the expensive ones that look right, not the cheaper embossed versions you see all the time. It also looks like the door panels are new, although the armrests might be recycled originals, it's hard to say for sure. Black carpets match the dash face, while the top pad is also white to give it a slightly custom look inside. Beautiful woodgrained appliques on the center console match the custom wood-rimmed steering wheel, which carries a Camaro horn button for extra style points. Auxiliary gauges in the customary location on the console are a welcome sight, right ahead of the horseshoe shifter, which manages a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. A/C, cruise control, and an AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo are also included, making this a fantastic cruiser with no compromises. With a new white power top and a fresh trunk mat, this F-body is ready to rock the next cruise night.

Dressed in traditional Chevy Orange and chrome, the 350 cubic inch V8 is the right choice for the car you want to drive. Plenty of power, great V8 sounds, and easy reliability are just a few of its attributes, and nobody will complain when you open the hood at a show. The Vintage Air A/C uses R134a refrigerant and it includes power steering and brakes. An upgraded cam gives it that hot-rode lope to the idle, and with long-tube headers and a Flowmaster exhaust system the resulting soundtrack is flat-out awesome. Underneath, the suspension has been freshly rebuilt and it's as clean as you'd hope for your next cruiser. It hunkers down just right, sitting on bright Torque Thrust wheels wearing 245/45/17 performance radials.

With a small cache of spare parts and some literature, this is a fast, fun, fully sorted cruiser with the upgrades you're looking for in your next weekend warrior. Call today!
