GREAT FOR OFF ROAD OR THE BEACH, SIX POINT ROLL CAGE, FRESH 289CI MOTOR

If you like to play in the dirt, there are really only two choices: Jeep or Bronco. This 1968 Ford Bronco makes a compelling argument for choosing the Ford by virtue of its torquey 289, awesome black paint job, and an obvious dedication to getting the job done right. If you're looking for a fun off-roader with all the hard work already done, this is a great choice.

You know the deal with black paint-make it right or pick another color-and this Bronco has obviously had a lot of time invested in its appearance. It's not perfect, because then you'd be afraid to use it as intended, but it's nice enough to get second and third glances at the local cruise night and folks who see you getting it dirty will probably lose their minds. But the important thing is that the body is in good condition and ready for the rigors of off-roading, and thanks to the urethane paint, it'll probably stand up to the elements better than the factory enamel ever did. It's amazing how the simple lines of the Bronco give it a timeless look, and with the doors removed and the bikini top overhead, it's as minimalist as the beloved Jeep and every bit as capable. Aside from a set of fender flares painted to match the rest ... Please ask for the full description.

Aside from a set of fender flares painted to match the rest of the body, it's quite stock, too, including the shiny chrome bumpers, painted grille, and functional tailgate.

The interior was obviously built with serious climbing in mind, offering supportive race-style bucket seats up front and a very cool 2-passenger version in back. The blue upholstery is designed to be hosed off and shrugs off dirt and water like a wetsuit and thanks to 4-point harnesses, you don't have to worry about holding yourself in place when the going gets tough. There's also a fat steering wheel that's easy to hang on to and the factory instrumentation has been augmented by a full set of Auto Meter gauges to keep an eye on things under the hood. There is no radio because, what's the point, and a six-point roll cage is perhaps the ultimate in safety gear. The floor and door sills have been covered in spray-in bed liner material so it's durable, attractive, and weatherproof, and that minimalist bikini top is the only one that comes with the truck, so you'd better be serious about you off-road fun.

The recently rebuilt 289 cubic inch V8 has less than 2000 miles on it and runs superbly. Topped by a 2-barrel carburetor, it's plenty torquey for its duty in the relatively lightweight Bronco and seems perfectly content to slog around in the dirt at 5 MPH without getting cranky. It features a new wiring harness for reliability, and the stock air cleaner has been upgraded to carry a paper element, so it's easy to service in the field. It's backed by a 3-speed manual transmission and 2-speed transfer case feeding both axles. The front end has been extensively rebuilt, including a new front drive shaft, fresh brakes, hubs, bearings, and seals, and with a 2.5-inch lift, there's plenty of room for those big 32x11.5-15 Cooper off-road radials.

This neat Bronco represents maximum fun from a minimalist package. Documented with receipts, you can take this tough off-roader anywhere without worries. Call today!
