QUALITY BUILT STREET ROD, 350CI CHEVY, 4 WHEEL DISCS, VERY NICE 39 CHEVY

For those of you craving attention, few rods will attract a crowd faster than this 1939 Chevrolet coupe. Nobody can resist the Sunset Orange paint, and regardless of whether they love it or hate it, people always come closer to get a better look. For those of you who appreciate quality, this bright coupe also delivers big in that department.

Built by a pro rod shop owner as his own personal car, you know this car was put together right-you can't use high-visibility paint on a substandard build. None of the factory-issued sheetmetal was radically altered, just smoothed and straightened to show standards and carefully reassembled after that brilliant paint was dry. It's hard to photograph the Sunset Orange finish, as it seems to shift from orange to coral and back again depending on the light, and perhaps that's part of its appeal. But anyone who sees it up close comes away impressed. The bumpers were shaved and the rear license plate bracket was moved under the roll pan, and there's a trick 1-piece windshield that gives the whole car a new look, but other details like the little taillights perched way up high and that incredible grille are actually standard 1939 Chevrolet.

Open one of the snug-fitting doors and you'll find a beautifully finished interior that's also state-of-the-art. Custom ultra-leather buckets mean this is strictly a 2-passenger vehicle, but the nicely carpeted space behind the seats offers plenty of space for gear on a long road trip. A billet tilt column is topped by a banjo-style wheel that looks very much like it belongs in 1939 and beautiful Classic Instruments gauges capture the art-deco vibe of the whole car. A/C has been neatly integrated under the dash where it pretty much stays out of sight, and that long Lokar shifter with a black knob is another link to the past that's actually brand new. The interior has been fully insulated and the weather-stripping is new, so this vintage Chevy seals up as well as a modern luxury car, and you can feel it in how solidly it goes down the road. Even the trunk is beautifully finished with a faux floor to conceal the working parts underneath.

The immaculately detailed engine bay sparkles against the vivid paint job. Lots of chrome on the 350 cubic inch V8 means you'll be eager to show it off, and with creative use of color, it matches the bodywork without being obvious about it. All the usual upgrades are included such as power 4-wheel disc brakes, R134a refrigerant in the A/C system, and a custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers that give it just the right soundtrack. The front suspension is an independent setup with tubular A-arms and tube shocks, while the 10-bolt rear hangs on traditional leaf springs. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins highway-friendly gears, so this car is ideal for events like the Power Tour, and the smooth ride is compliments of right-sized 215/75/15 front and 235/75/15 rear blackwall radials. And have you ever seen a set of factory Rallys look this good? The rolling stock makes the car.

Beautifully crafted by guys who knew what they were doing, this Chevy is a great-driving rod that looks as great as it drives. The color isn't for everyone, but the guy who takes this one home will have no regrets. Call today!
