6.0L FUEL INJECTED MOTOR, 4L80E TRANS, A/C, DAKOTA DIGITAL GUAGES, VERY STRAIGHT

For years we've been selling 1957 Chevys with standard carbureted small blocks and 3-speed automatic transmissions, but a new wave of high-tech resto-mods uses OEM hardware to make cars like this 2-door sedan feel like modern cars in almost every way. And yes, it really is as nice as it looks.

With just over 2600 miles on the build, this is a very fresh car. It started life as a 210 but was treated to a full complement of Bel Air trim, including the anodized quarter panels, and looks like a million bucks today. The bright red paint is as vivid as anything on the 1957 Chevy color chart and the sheetmetal was reworked to be as straight as the day it popped out of the molds. The doors fit well and since it's a 2-door sedan with a post and not a hardtop, you'll find that it seals up well and has a reassuring solidity to it that adds to the modern feel going down the road. None of the fantastic '57 Chevy trim has been shaved or deleted and it appears that everything has just returned from a trip to the chrome shop, because it sparkles like it's show day. If not for the flashy aluminum wheels, you might mistake this incredible Chevy for a fresh concours restoration.

The modifications are only ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

The modifications are only a little more visible inside, where there's a totally custom red and white setup that pays more than a passing resemblance to the original, but not quite. New door panels and dark red carpets give it a very polished, complete look and with the original dashboard in place, it could easily fit in among other 1950s iron. However, when you turn the key the instrument panel springs to life with red Dakota Digital gauges inside the original three-gauge pod. A color-matched steering column topped by a wood-rimmed steering wheel adds comfort and elegance, while billet trim across the dash echoes the original but looks more modern. Air conditioning has been neatly integrated using discreet vents built into the dash and an AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit was installed in the center. With so few miles on the clock, everything is pretty much in new condition and ready to show, and you'll probably find that it's hard to resist sliding behind the wheel and hitting the road. The trunk is also nicely finished with matching side panels and carpet along with a full-sized spare with jack assembly.

The engine is a 6.0-liter Vortec V8. Transplanted complete with its electronic fuel injection system intact, it starts instantly and runs like a modern car, don't assume that it's not fast, because the broad torque curve makes this Chevy a blast to drive on the street. Keeping all the GM engineering intact means unparalleled reliability and drivability with a cool OEM look under the hood. It's backed by a heavy-duty 4L80E automatic overdrive transmission and 3.30 gears, so it's a superlative highway cruiser that just whispers along at speed. Around town, the custom dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers give it a burly exhaust note. The entire chassis was stripped and repainted before reassembly and the body was restored on a rotisserie, so the bright red floors make for an outstanding backdrop for the hardware. Classic polished Torque Thrust wheels and 17-inch Nitto rubber add the right look without looking too modern.

An extremely high-quality build, this resto-mod delivers all the hardware we've been wishing for, all wrapped up in one of the best-looking packages of all time. Call today!
