#'S MATCHING 400CI, CORRECT COLOR COMBO GTO, VERY NICELY RESTORED, FACTORY A/C

If you like GTOs, this 1967 hardtop just might be the prettiest one we've ever seen. A gorgeous restoration in fantastic colors, it's so attractive you'll forget there's a thumping 400 cubic inch V8 under the hood. Loaded with options like factory A/C, it's a winning combination that will easily win more than its share of admirers.

The cowl tag tells us this Goat was originally Tyrol Blue, which is OK, but when the time came for restoration, it was stripped bare, any sheetmetal that needed repairs was cut out and expertly replaced, then the finish was rebuilt from there. The result is this stunning Plum Mist GTO hardtop that you see today. Ultra-straight and simply jaw-dropping in person, the look is at once sophisticated and stylish, a timeless car that will look just as good decades from now. Nothing was modified or altered, and things like the mesh grilles and hood scoop are parts of why the GTO is so special; it's all about subtlety and this car nails it. Beautiful chrome, polished stainless trim, correct GTO emblems, and those handsome flying buttress C-pillars make this one of 1967's most attractive cars.

The other part of this car's stunning look is the freshly restored ... Please ask for the full description.

The other part of this car's stunning look is the freshly restored Parchment interior that's so beautifully bright that you might be afraid to climb inside. Don't worry, black carpets and a matching dash keep it from getting too bright, and a bit of woodgraining goes a long way to warming things up. The seat covers, door panels, carpets, and headliner are all new, and there's fresh foam underneath to make the seats all-day comfortable. Other comfort upgrades include the automatic transmission with "his-and-hers" shifter, factory A/C that blows ice cold, and a cleverly hidden AM/FM stereo head unit in the glove box with a CD changer stashed in the trunk. The gauges look great and might be very nicely preserved originals, while the steering wheel looks recently restored. Fresh GTO-logo floor mats are a smart idea in a car that's going to get driven, and for road trips, it's hard to beat the massive trunk filled with a reproduction mat and a full-sized spare.

It's easy to spend this much money on a restoration when your car has a pedigree, and the 400 cubic inch V8 under the hood appears to be this car's original, numbers-matching engine. Restored using all the right parts, from the chrome valve covers to tower hose clamps, it shows extremely well and runs even better than it looks. Pontiac Turquoise on the block looks authentic and all the power accessories make this GTO as much luxury car as muscle machine. The freshly rebuilt TH400 3-speed automatic is plenty rugged enough for the 400's torque output and spins the original 10-bolt rear end, which has been resealed. There are new brake drums to ensure confident stops and a reproduction exhaust system with correct mufflers that sound healthy but not annoying. Clean body-colored floors show off the detailing rather well, and correct Rally II wheels with 225/70/15 redline radials give it the perfect period stance.

Yes, we like this car quite a bit, and yes, mostly because it's gorgeous. But underneath all that prettiness is a great-running GTO with a fantastic pedigree. Call today!
