Description
Subject to a comprehensive frame-off restoration, this stunning 1969 Nova SS 396 is exceptional. Finished beautifully in the same color it left the factory in, Dusk Blue (Code 51) with a black interior, the high quality of the restoration and the authenticity of this rare muscle car is impressive in all areas. The interior features the correct bench seat, SS steering wheel, and reproduction seat upholstery. A period-correct looking, under-dash mounted, three-gauge bezel houses black-faced SunPro gauges that monitor oil pressure, amperage, and water temperature. This classic is rolling 15-inch Chevrolet rally wheels with B.F Goodrich white lettered tires staggered 235/60R15 front and 255/60R15 to give it the proper stance.
Under the SS hood is a highly detailed and authentic engine bay featuring a highly desirable, number matching, correct code KC, 375 horsepower 396 cubic inch big block engine mated to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission shifted through a Hurst shifter that sends power back to a 12-bolt rear end. The engine features factory-style chrome valve covers, chrome open-element air cleaner, correct factory Winters aluminum intake manifold, and a Quickfuel 4-barrel carburetor. Thoughtful details like the correct decals, GM-stamped heater hoses, and factory-type spring-ring battery cables make this engine bay look fantastic. Other features include power steering, front disc brakes, and a highly detailed undercarriage with dual exhaust with Xlerater mufflers emitting a low rumble that only a big block engine can create.
