FULL DOCS, ONE OWNER CAR, JUST RESTORED TO STOCK, #'S MATCHING 307 CAR, DOCS!

Some cars are special for what they are, but others are special for the stories they tell. This 1969 Camaro falls into the latter category, a one-owner car that's led a very good life and recently had a fairly comprehensive restoration to stock specs. If you like history, this is the Camaro you should be buying.

Yes, that's right, this is a one-owner car and the original owner has provided an extensive paper trail dating back to day one. It was recently restored by the guys at Texas Street Machines to factory specs, including the original Hugger Orange color. The 45-year-old bodywork was freshened as needed, including straightening some parking lot dings, but the exterior of the car didn't need any major surgery. The paint is obviously worlds better than the factory stuff, especially after a cut and buff that shines up beautifully. A white stripe around the nose works with matching pinstripes highlighting the fender arches and it includes factory-installed upgrades like the chin and deck lid spoilers so it looks like a Camaro should. The white vinyl top is in excellent condition and as a car that has spent most of its life in the warm climate south of the border, there's no evil hiding ... Please ask for the full description.

The white vinyl top is in excellent condition and as a car that has spent most of its life in the warm climate south of the border, there's no evil hiding underneath. The trim was polished up and reinstalled with a few reproduction pieces as needed, and the overall look is very clean.

The interior is all-new, and the code 729 ivory houndstooth upholstery is what this car wore originally, a most excellent choice! It took guts to order this interior option in 1969 but today it's one of the most highly-sought combinations and looks fantastic in this hardtop. Everything inside was removed and replaced, including the factory-style sound deadening materials, so it feels like a much younger car and it's worth noting that the headliner is original and completely untouched. A center console with horseshoe shifter, bright wood appliques, and the original-style steering wheel are in great condition thanks to the restoration efforts. This car carries factory A/C, which was comprehensively restored and upgraded using modern components from Classic Auto Air and a brand new AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo system fits in the center of the dash. The trunk pan is new, as are some of the floors, and it is fitted with a reproduction mat and a full-sized spare tire assembly.

You've already noticed that this car is powered by a 307 cubic inch small block, which is indeed the original, numbers-matching engine. Fully rebuilt to stock specs, it's smooth and easy to drive and it's a great relief to see that they resisted the urge to throw an upgraded crate motor under the hood. Very correctly detailed, it's ready to show or drive thanks to bright Chevy Orange engine enamel, a factory air cleaner assembly, and details like the reproduction decals. The front brakes were upgraded from drums to discs, the radiator was rebuilt, and factory exhaust manifolds dump into a reproduction exhaust system with transverse muffler. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and original 10-bolt rear end were opened up and anything that needed replacing was replaced, then it was all buttoned back up with fresh seals. As I said, the floors have a few patches, which is probably inevitable no matter how well-maintained a car is, and factory steel wheels were treated to wire wheel covers and a set of fresh 205/70/14 blackwall radials.

Extensively documented with a build sheet, original window sticker, owner's manual, Protect-O-Plate, and restoration receipts, not to mention ownership documents back to day one, this is a very cool Camaro with a ton of history on its side. Call today!
