Ever get tired of doing what everyone else is doing? How about a rod that's not only incredibly stylish, but also practical? This 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-door delivers on all counts, with a great look, lots of room inside, and an expertly crafted chassis that rides and handles like a modern machine.
With just a few simple mods, the Chevy's original lines take on a downright sinister look. The body is pretty much the way the factory intended, so you know the guys building it respected the original design and didn't take too many liberties. Fit and finish are quite good, with decent gaps and a paint job that looks great going down the road and at local cruise nights. Other details include some shaved trim pieces, painted bumpers, and custom blue-dot taillights for an old school look. Breaking up all that burgundy is a cool airbrushed pinstripe that follows the curve of the bodywork, as if it were simulating a piece of original trim.
Modern mirrors have been neatly integrated into the design, and tinted windows give it a great look while improving the functionality of the A/C. Up front, modern headlights are vastly more effective than the original sealed-beams and there are neat little integrated turn signals on the inboard sides of the headlight buckets, a great safety feature.
With room for five, this is a rod built to cruise cross-country at a moment's notice. Beautifully upholstered bucket seats use medium red tweed to create a unique, upscale look, and the rear bench was dumped in favor of a pair of very cool buckets that are probably the most comfortable seats in the house. Custom door panels are simple and elegant, using the same materials and the original window frames, which give it a very polished look. The original dash now wears a billet insert which houses a full array of modern gauges and the A/C vents, which are often tacked-on as an afterthought in lesser rods, are neatly built into a matching panel under the dash. A factory steering wheel has a burgundy leather wrapper and gives the car an OEM feel, and there's an AM/FM/CD stereo radio which provides entertainment in this easy-cruising Chevy. In back, there's a cavernous trunk that is finished with simple burgundy carpet with a custom stainless steel box for the battery, making it ready to hit the road.
Reliable and powerful, the brightly polished 350 under the hood delivers great performance on the open road. Thanks to Tuned-Port fuel injection and all the usual tricks, it moves the Chevy with ease, and offers a great V8 burble from the custom-built dual exhaust system. Everything has been chromed or polished to give the underhood area a show-quality look and thoughtful details abound, including a heater shut-off for warm summer driving. A powerful fan keeps it cool, and all the usual power accessories, from power steering and disc brakes to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, are all part of the package. The front suspension is a typical Mustang II independent setup with a 10-bolt rear hanging on leaf springs out back. Beautiful polished Billet Specialties wheels fit right inside the fat fenders and wear 225/70/15 Goodyear tires for the perfect stance.
If you need more than two seats and enjoy your creature comforts, this 1939 Chevy is ready. Don't miss this opportunity and call today!
