This is the car that started a revolution. The 1968 Dodge Charger was the first year of the now legendary second-generation of these muscle cars. That's why hardtops are always in demand, and why you already know you need to move fast on this bright red big block. Because coupes like this vanish as quickly as they appear.
The Coke bottle styling; the hidden headlights; the pillarless hardtop body with vinyl roof; and those flying buttresses surrounding the rear window – this coupe was designed to make an impact. But while '68 was a great sales year for Chargers, they still were far less than Ford or Chevy. That's what keeps these cars in demand. It's always a treat to find a Mopar with great sheetmetal that highlights the bold red paint. Plus, it accents the little details like the scalloped hood with matching marks in the doors, and the rear spoiler that's built in the rear deck. Bright chrome bumpers, first-year twin taillights, a flip-up gas cap, and nice stainless trim make this a car you'll be proud to call your own. The final touch to this bold and premium package is the set of Keystone wheels, which are an iconic must-have for any classic Mopar.

This is the car that started a revolution. The 1968 Dodge Charger was the first year of the now legendary second-generation of these muscle cars. The final touch to this bold and premium package is the set of Keystone wheels, which are an iconic must-have for any classic Mopar.
The Charger's interior was a triumphant blend of luxury and performance, and this one has been preserved to present it all in great vintage style. There are bucket seats with a slick center console and cool chrome shifter that's pure Mopar. It's a gentleman's hot rod that was a highly optioned car from the factory with everything from controls for air conditioning to the ralley gauge cluster with the rare and desirable tic-toc-tach. All of the fundamentals for these features are still in place, but now you have additions like the AM/FM/cassette stereo and SunPro tach discreetly mounted under the dash to provide convenient use without jeopardizing the vintage atmosphere.
This big red Charger is powered by a big red 440 cubic-inch V8. Yes, this car is not an R/T, and doesn't pretend to be on the outside, but that doesn't mean you can 't enjoy the pleasure of serious displacement under the hood. It even went for further power enhancements, including inhaling deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It exhales with serious authority through long tube headers that connect to the rumbling dual exhaust. But more than just powerful, this big V8 is quire reliable thanks to additions like the MSD ignition, MSD distributor, and an aluminum radiator. Power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and more modern radial tires make this big block brute quite easy to live with.
Here's everything you want in a classic Mopar. It has a bold red body with iconic touches. The interior has plenty of factory features. The rumbling big block has enough power to be intimidating, but built to also be easy to take on a spontaneous Sunday drive. Add in some serious documentation, including the factory broadcast sheet, title information, and a ton of maintenance receipts. And now you know why this rare and fast Charger will be leaving us soon. Call today!!!
