Finished in its factory-correct India Ivory and Twilight Turquoise two-tone, this restored Nomad is a true gem. Everyone loves seeing the iconic raked rear hatch and wraparound glass that made for one of the most prolific icons of the 1950s. These were the top-of-the-line Chevys that ran with the Bel Airs, and so these came with a lot of intricate brightwork. Thankfully all of these hard to source pieces are complete on this one – everything from to the 1956-only grille, to the sweeping side trim, to the bright slats protecting the split rear hatch. The level of shine tells you there has been a heavy investment in keeping this Chevy looking premium. And when you also spot items like the Billet Specialties alloy wheels, you can instantly see this one goes well beyond factory specs.

One look inside, and you can tell how much was invested in this custom build. It starts with the leather buckets up front. These not only have better bolstering than anything that came out of the 1950s for superior comfort, but they are also power adjustable. The pristine cream color on these front seats is not only shared with the rear ones, but also the custom panels, headliner, and even the new center console. In total, this one has that great uniform appearance that everyone loves to see at the shows. As the name suggests, the Nomads are meant to cruise the open road, and so this one has great features for everyone, including a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo and ice-cold air conditioning. But like any good custom classic, the best treats are reserved for the driver. You get a stylish three-spoke sports steering wheel for your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the B&M shifter. Plus, you stay completely informed on everything that's going on with your classic thanks to the cool blue glow of the Dakota Digital gauges.

Nomads are so rare that they are always worth showing off. That's why the engine bay way restored to be a true attraction. The polished valve covers, master cylinder, air grabber, pulleys, alternator, and so much more look great sparkling next to the exterior-matching Twilight Turquoise. The largest motor you could get in 1956 was a 265 cubic-inch V8, but we all know there's plenty more power that can be had, so this one was upgraded to powerful and robust 350 ci. Combined with the upgraded dual exhaust, this icon now has that perfect vintage V8 growl. But more than just power, this Nomad has been upgraded to an aluminum radiator w/electric fan so you can keep running cool even when you've got the A/C on in traffic. On the road it feels terrific thanks to feature like the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, independent front suspension w/added sway bar, and front disc brakes.
