Ford got the package exactly right in 1985. In an era when power was dwindling, the Mustang GT was one of the few beacons of speed. The result is the kind of shine you couldn't even get when this sunshine-friendly T-top was new over 30 years ago. It also means the gray GT treatment on the hood looks just as stellar. The ultra-supportive buckets were straight out of the SVO program, and featured grippy fabric inserts framed by red piping to give it a truly racy look. There's no notable wear, even on the side bolsters in this survivor-grade coupe. If fact, the carpeting, door panels, dash, headliner, and center console all don't reveal this classic's true age. Everything remains in its stock appearance, including the dual spoke steering wheel and the original speedo and tach. A car this well cared for must be something special, and that's why it came loaded with power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, and had upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo added. The air conditioning has been upgraded to R134a, so you can stay cool even with the T-tops out in the warmest weather.

The 5.0 High Output V8 evolved each year, and 1985 is the pinnacle of carbureted development. With 210 horsepower, it would be a few years before the Mustang would have more ponies under the hood. Plus, there's nothing like the sound of all four barrels snapping open and barking through the dual exhaust system. Once again, with modifications being so easy on a Mustang, it's fantastically rare to see this powerplant in such factory-correct condition – even the original air cleaner is still in place! After all, with a five-speed manual transmission, controlling this V8 is completely in your hands. Plus, great anytime driving features like power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Michelin tires makes this the perfect vintage companion for traveling near or far.
