If you're a truck fan, you literally have thousands of choices. You can choose something like everyone else, or you can go a little off the beaten path with this 1965 Ford F100. This is one of those trucks that gets things right, from the burly 460 to the shiny black paint to a load of comfort and convenience items.
First of all, this truck looks great. The regular cab/short bed combination was rather rare back in the day, but it remains the one to own if you're looking for a fun truck instead of a work truck. Ford took a conservative path with their trucks, but between the shiny black paint and some well-chosen brightwork, it has a very detailed look. The paint was refinished a few years ago and still looks very good, not perfect, but nice enough to get appreciative second-glances on the road and show proudly on weekends. The '66 grille dresses it up and experts will appreciate the custom look, and that long strip of stainless running down the side gives it a sporty look. The bed is finished with a spray-in bedliner that was applied just recently, and shiny new bumpers at both ends remind you that this isn't some work truck, but rather something that's still quite special.

First of all, this truck looks great. The regular cab/short bed combination was rather rare back in the day, but it remains the one to own if you're looking for a fun truck instead of a work truck. That flashy two-tone black and red interior was done just a few years ago and perfectly compliments the exterior of this truck. The cloth and vinyl combination keeps an OEM look but elevates this truck above its siblings, and has been fitted with upgrades that make it a capable long-distance cruiser. Matching door panels, new carpets, and a fresh headliner all contribute to the fresh feel. Dolphin white-faced gauges with a beautifully machined instrument panel provide a full readout of the big block's condition, and thanks to a tilt column and shiny 3-spoke steering wheel, they're easy to see. A Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and amplifier stashed under the driver's seat power a set of 6x9 speakers that fill the cab with sound. A custom floor shifter is linked to the 3-speed automatic transmission underneath, but it looks fairly stock, which is a nice touch.
With a big 460 cubic inch V8 under the hood of this relatively lightweight pickup, performance is extremely impressive. Whether it's blasting from red light to red light or hitting the road for a cross-country trip, the powertrain in this truck delivers. An Edelbrock carb and a Weiand intake handle the air and fuel while headers and a pair of Flowmasters give it a fantastic muscle car exhaust note. Against that black paint, the chrome air cleaner and valve covers look great and even with all that big block in there, service access is excellent. A dual master cylinder was added to feed the front disc brakes, and the rugged 9-inch rear end handles the mountain of torque the engine cranks out. Handsome 15-inch aluminum wheels lend the truck a sporty demeanor and are fitted with beefy 275/60/15 radials that fill the wheel wells perfectly.
Not like all the others, this F100 is a really nice truck that'll surprise more than a few performance car owners and is still happy to put in a hard day's work. Call today!
