Yes, this 1955 Chevrolet is every bit as nice as it looks in photos. If your attention was grabbed by this turquoise wonder, you're not alone, because it is one of the most obsessively detailed rods we've ever seen, and the build quality is flat-out amazing. Which is good, because this one is also a blast to drive.

I always hesitate to speculate how much money was spent on a car, but just a glance tells you that cubic dollars were involved in this build. The bodywork is straight enough to calibrate scientific instruments, and they didn't go overboard with the modifications. Like all great customs, it's still hard to tell where the factory ends and the custom begins, but the foundation is simply spectacular. No flames, no wild paint jobs, just classic '50s turquoise done to show-winning standards. All the chrome was refinished as well, probably costing as much as a new Impala, but the results were worth it, because this one sparkles everywhere you look. This car is a textbook example of how to build a '55: the right color, the right stance, and impeccable build quality.

While the exterior was being refinished and looks fairly original, the all-new interior is completely unique. ... Please ask for the full description.

Form-fitting bucket seats have been covered in tan leather, whose pattern is repeated on the custom door panels and even the headliner! Deep, luxurious tan carpets were expertly fitted, along with a set of matching mats, so you don't have to worry about getting in and actually driving this one. The original dashboard was restored although the instrument panel now offers a set of Classic Instruments to keep an eye on vitals. A custom AM/FM/MP3 stereo was fitted, as was Vintage Air A/C, so long-distance cruising is comfortable. A center console was added between the seats, and that Hurst shifter is linked to a bulletproof Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Pop the trunk and you'll discover a matching cargo bay that's probably nicer than most folks' living rooms.

The engine bay is a symphony of turquoise and polished metal, all designed to highlight the 383 cubic inch stroker ZZ3 crate motor. Topped by a pair of Edelbrock 4-barrel carbs, it specializes in torque production, and everything you can see was either powdercoated or polished. Power steering and power disc brakes were added, and the workmanship throughout is tidy without being fussy, so you can drive it without worries. Climb underneath and you'll note that virtually every single component was powdercoated to match the body, from the steering rack to the gas tank, and even details like the leaf springs and shocks! It's got a perfect stance thanks to a custom front suspension, and those 17-inch Coys wheels totally fill the wheelwells without being so big you can't enjoy the ride.

Pro-built and worth every penny, this is the kind of rod you should expect from a six-figure check. Fortunately, it's available for quite a bit less than that, so don't miss this opportunity and call today!
