If you're in the mood for a future classic or a retro hauler, stop scrolling and read through. For the price of a 5 year old Ford Ranger you can have a great looking, 454-powered 3⁄4-ton with a HUGE amount of eye appeal!
This is a GMC Sierra Classic Camper Special, which is the top-of-the-line truck for comfort and convenience options. Additionally it's a Camper Special, which tossed in all sorts of heavy-duty components underneath. Looking at the body you can see the efforts of a nice quality paint with great gloss. It's the original color combination, and on a truck this big the deluxe two tone really looks great. The original trim is in nice shape, and on the Classic there's a pile of it, all of which is nicely maintained and gives it a period-perfect vibe. The glass is good, as are the lights and lenses, and while replacements are easy to find, it's nice to see the originals are in good shape because someone was taking good care of it. Those big mirrors were factory on the camper trucks, as were the lower bed tie downs, and you'll see gas caps on either side that mean this is a dual tank truck. The bed is in great shape, coated in Rhino Liner and it carries a diamond plate box out back for your gear, too. Big bumper guards up front and a step bumper out back add even more ruggedness. This is a big truck!
Inside, you'll find a largely original cabin in great shape. Classics allowed options galore in here from the power windows and locks to nicer door panels to tilt wheel to (gasp!) carpeting. There's cruise control on the turn signal stalk, an AM/FM radio in the dash and A/C in the faux woodgrain instrument paneling. There's a new seat cover in the original color and a new headliner above. There's a carpet dash cover up top but it's there to protect rather than hide: the original dash has no cracks. There's a lot of comfort for a truck this big, but it makes sense since it was built to take you to campgrounds from coast to coast.
Under the hood is a big 454 cubic inch V8, rebuilt around 5000 miles ago. It looks the part with fresh Chevy Orange paint, the proper air cleaner, new hoses and tune up parts. It's factory rated at 240 horsepower and a fat 370 pounds of torque, so you'll have no trouble moving this big truck around! A rebuilt master cylinder and brake booster are on the firewall, there's a rebuilt alternator hanging from the motor and a nice even sheen of black on the engine compartment sheetmetal. It's just as it should be. Underneath you'll see just how clean this truck is. No major mechanical issues, no frame damage and clean floors. You'll see a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission sending power back to a huge axle with 3.73 gears on a PosiTraction limied slip...this is an 8-lug axle truck with all of the high-strength hardware. There's a huge rear sway bar due to the Camper Special package, massive front disc brakes, and more. A newer dual exhaust system with Flowmasters sounds the part and newer tires on correct heavy-duty 16.5" rims hold their original small hubcaps, and the stance is perfect.
So, all of that for under 14 grand? Don't think too long, pick up the phone and call today!
