And thanks to the miracle of modern paints, it'll probably look this good for decades with just a modicum of effort on your part. The vivid Hugger Orange paint is so attention-grabbing that you almost miss the cowl-induction hood, which should probably be standard equipment on every vintage Chevy. The original bench is still firm and comfortable, and thanks to professional workmanship, it looks right at home in the vintage pickup's driver's compartment. Black door panels and new black carpets add to the upscale vibe and both help control noise and heat, so this remains an eminently comfortable vehicle for driving around town. The steering wheel is original-issue, as are the gauges, which are assisted by a column-mounted tachometer right in the center. Part of that driving pleasure comes from the 350 cubic inch V8 fitted between the fenders and dressed almost like it would have been when it was new. A few upgrades include the Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, long-tube headers, and a chrome air cleaner, so it doesn't look totally stock, but the fresh paint is just about the same color as the bodywork, so it has an all-of-a-piece look. Power steering and power brakes are welcome additions to the roster and a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission is rugged enough for just about anything you can come up with in this truck. A heavy-duty rear end hangs on trailing arms and coil springs, making these C10s some of the best-riding vintage pickup trucks you can own. There's also a new Flowmaster dual exhaust system with chrome tips poking out from behind the rear wheels, adding to the custom look. Heck, there's even a fat sway bar up front which gives this lowered truck impressive handling for its size and age. Classic Rally wheels and fat 275/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials give it exactly the right stance.
