This 1975 Corvette convertible represents the last of the 2-seat convertibles from Chevrolet until the reappearance of the C4 ragtop more than a decade later. As a result, cars like this are seeing a nice uptick in their values, and few mid-70s Corvettes can stack up against this one in terms of quality or pedigree.
With just 49,434 original miles showing on the odometer, you wouldn't think that this Corvette would have needed a makeover, but apparently someone was aiming pretty high and “pretty nice” wasn't going to cut it. As a result, this one wears a recent coat of Mille Miglia Red that's simply gorgeous. Everything lines up quite nicely, and in 1975, they finally got the 1-piece rear bumpers that give it a seamless look. They were through with chrome by 1975, but there are still a few piece of bright trim, including the rocker panel molding that's in great shape as well as a deck-mounted luggage rack that's probably as practical as it is stylish on the no-trunk C4 roadsters. This car also carries an optional and rather rare removable hardtop, which gives the convertible an altogether different look.

With just 49,434 original miles showing on the odometer, you wouldn't think that this Corvette would have needed a makeover, but apparently someone was aiming pretty high and "pretty nice" wasn't going to cut it.
You can get a pretty good idea of how nice this car is just by looking inside, where it wears a largely original code 73V Dark Oxblood vinyl interior. The dark red upholstery actually works quite well with the bright red bodywork, creating an unusual combination that will please numbers fans who value rarity. By 1975, just about everything was standard equipment on the Corvette, and this one carries things like A/C, power windows, a tilt column, and its original AM/FM stereo radio in the dash. The gauges are in very good condition with clear lenses and markings and it wears aftermarket Corvette-logo floor mats to help protect the factory carpets for posterity. There's also a nice white convertible top that folds easily and stows out of sight, and if you're like most Corvette fans, you'll only need it for emergencies.
The original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch L48 engine remains under the hood, and after a thorough detailing it looks fantastic. From the bright chrome air cleaner lid and ignition shielding to the Chevy Orange paint on the block, heads, and intake, it looks ready to show off at the next cruise night. Finned aluminum valve covers and even the original emissions equipment give it a very OEM appearance and there are no notable aftermarket upgrades to spoil the look. Backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic, it's one of the most durable powertrains ever installed in a GM car, so you can enjoy this Corvette for years to come. The undercarriage is tidy-again with no aftermarket modifications-and the handsome Rally wheels wear correctly-sized 225/70/15 Goodyear Eagle radials.
C3 Corvettes are still fast, fun, iconic cars, and few can command the respect and admiration of a bright red convertible. For old-fashioned V8 fun on a budget, this very nice convertible certainly hits all the high notes. Call today!
