Given how many of these things we sell, when the opportunity came to put this super clean short bed/regular cab truck in our showroom, we didn't hesitate. It has a great look complements of the vivid red paint, and these really were some of the best-looking trucks ever made. It's certainly led a good life, as the bodywork is amazingly straight and the paint shines up beautifully. It's a lot nicer than most vehicles of this vintage and it doesn't look like it had to work for a living. The paint is exactly the right color, a pure fire engine red that makes this truck look sporty and light-hearted without compromising its utility. The top-of-the-line Silverado included lots of bright trim and this one also has shiny chrome bumpers, with the rear being a heavy-duty diamond-plate unit. CLEAN SHORT-BED, NICE BRIGHT RED PAINT, A/C, 5.0 V8, TH400, UPDATED INTERIOR

If you want a clean classic truck, a great foundation for your next project, or even just an affordable work truck, this 1982 Chevy Silverado should fit the bill. Bargain priced yet nicely preserved, it's the bright red pickup you've been hoping to own since you were a kid.

A spray-in bedliner protects the bed and you really should take a moment to note how neatly done it is, because most guys just don't take the time to do it right like this.

The red vinyl interior is also pretty stock and still ready to go. The seat cover looks so good, it just has to be a newer replacement, and we're pretty sure the carpets have been replaced as well, simply because they don't look more than 30 years old. Matching door panels are just as nice and carpeted floor mats will help keep it looking good. Options include cold factory A/C, a tilt wheel, and an AM/FM stereo radio, so it's no hardship to drive this truck every day. Clean factory gauges are in good shape with only moderate fading, and the factory wheel isn't cracked or damaged by the sun, a good sign of a truck that's been well-maintained. It isn't flashy, but it's very, very nice and ready to go.

The 5.0-liter OHV V8 engine in this truck was a very popular choice in 1982 and makes sense in the short bed/regular cab configuration. It has a great V8 sound thanks to a custom dual exhaust system, and makes the kind of low-end torque that is responsible for old trucks' surging popularity today. Despite being a small block Chevy, it's completely stock, right down to the air cleaner and exhaust manifolds, so service access is easy and it offers unbeatable reliability. Fuel economy is decent for a V8-powered truck, and you shouldn't be afraid to work it hard, because the heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic and heavy-duty rear end are built for it. The chassis has been protected (probably since new) by undercoating, so it is in good shape. It appears to have a recent gas tank and the exhaust system does include catalytic converters, so it's completely street legal. Factory Rally wheels add a sporty demeanor and carry 255/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials at all four corners.

Nothing radical or fully customized...yet. If you want a clean truck that's ready for anything you can imagine, this is a fantastic choice. Call today!
