First generation Camaros have long been in high demand in the muscle car market. When you include the addition of a real deal RS package car covered in a beautiful red paint job and a convertible top, then the demand certainly increases. Take a closer look at this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible, with a nice addition under the hood, if you're looking for a car that will always be in style.
Covering the straight and flat panels on this Camaro is a red finish that shows sharp reflections. The paint looks very nice and is a finish you'd be proud to show off. RS stripes and badging are all present, and up front are the RS specific, hideaway headlights that make for an awesome look. Clean chrome bumpers are mounted at the front and rear with vivid tail lights out back, and back-up lights beneath. When the weather gets gloomy, there is a clean convertible top that fits snug around the windshield frame. The black vinyl is tear free and shows no wrinkles. Overall, the exterior of this RS looks very nice and it sits on clean 15'' 5-spoke Pacer wheels.
Inside is a beautiful deluxe black vinyl interior that shows just as well as the outside of the car. Greeting the driver and passenger are low back buckets seats covered in glossy vinyl and trimmed in elegant white inserts that are familiar to the deluxe package. The rear bench seat is covered in the same glossy vinyl with white inserts. The speakers pictured resting on the rear seat are easily removable for a more permanent location. In between the front bucket seats is a center console that houses a small storage compartment, the automatic shifter and 3 gauges that include a clock and monitor fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temps. Topping that console is the crack free dash that hosts all of the factory instrumentation, an AM/FM radio with cassette, and switches for the heat and defrost. The deluxe door panels have an elegant design and carry comfortable elbow rests. And a great looking steering wheel sits on a tilting column.
Under the hood is a monster aluminum 5.7 liter LS1 V8 that has been converted to carbureted fuel delivery. Dressed up with a chrome air cleaner, this storied engine looks great in the clean engine bay. An aluminum radiator keeps things cool, while an MSD ignition system sends spark to the eight cylinders. Gasses are sent through Hedman Hedders manifolds and a dual exhaust system for a throaty sound. Sending power to the rear end with posi-traction and 3.08 gears is a 4-speed automatic transmission. Assisting in making this car fun to drive is power steering and disc brakes up front. Staggered 215/60/15 front and 245/60/16 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/As wrapping chrome rally wheels put the power to the road.
Whether you're looking for a car to show off at the local shows or on Main Street, this 1967 Camaro RS is a great candidate. With a showroom fresh appearance, and a power package to boot, we doubt it will last long in our showroom. Call today!
