This 1991 Ford XLT F150 pickup has passed beyond the realm of "nice truck" and is steadily on course to become a great collectable. This one has seen less than 50K miles and is an absolute time capsule that has been very well preserved.

The correct color code YV, light smoke metallic looks amazing on this F150 body and was a popular choice in the '80s. There's a complete array of gauges in the dash, factory A/C, power windows and locks, and a sliding rear window for easy ventilation when A/C isn't needed. Even the original AM/FM/cassette stereo system remains in place and still holds the Ford demo cassette tape. The door panels remain quite good and include a handy map pocket.

Ford's venerable 5.0 liter V8 is under the hood, and it's a great choice in the F150. It neatly straddles the line between power and economy, and makes great V8 sounds while it goes about its business. Even Ford's trucks were fuel injected early on, and the tall intake manifold on this one was designed to make low-end torque, which is, of course, a truck's bread-and-butter. It's quite tidy under the hood, with signs of regular maintenance. It's mated to a rugged 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission to channel the power and it sits in a clean undercarriage. In fact, everything has remained very well preserved. Power steering and power brakes keep hauling duties a simple task.
