The actual name of this cool Corvette is the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Championship Edition, a mouthful to say, but it'll leave you speechless when you're behind the wheel. Named after champion Canadian driver Ron Fellows, who has piloted the latest C6R to victory around the world, it's an awesome way to commemorate both a great drive and a great machine.

The Fellows Edition is the first Z06 to be available in Arctic White, which we've always found to be an excellent choice on a Corvette. Of course, any special edition is incomplete without some special graphics, and this one delivers. Included with the package are red and silver hash marks on the front fenders, Grand Sport style, and if you look closely, you'll also see his signature and a Canadian flag motif buried within. There's also a subtle rear spoiler that probably works as intended when you're probing the considerable limits of the Z06's performance envelope, as well as the flashy Corvette banner along the top of the windshield. With just 3,387 original miles, you know it's exemplary, and as any Corvette fan will tell you, a low-mileage, limited edition car with some racing heritage is almost as good as money in the bank.

The upgrades continued inside, where the Fellows Edition received a comprehensive makeover that includes two-tone red and black leather seats with Z06 embroidery, carbon-fiber instrument panel trim, and there's another Ron Fellows signature on the center console. This car also carries the two lone options available on the Z06, navigation and On-Star, making it the one to own. Like the exterior, condition is exemplary throughout, everything works, and a set of heavy-duty floor mats have been added for protection. And it's still practical, with a ton of storage space under the rear hatch. To date, there still isn't another car that can run with a Z06 at this price. Zero.

The reason for that is easy. Under the forward-tilting hood is a 427 cubic inch all-aluminum small block. Yeah, 427 cubic inches in a lightweight package definitely makes for some entertaining performance. The Fellows Edition wears the same red coil covers as the standard Z06, mostly because it simply looks awesome, and all the performance hardware is first-rate. Despite all the aftermarket goodies available for these cars, this one remains wonderfully stock, which is what you want from an investment standpoint. The sub-frames are magnesium and the chassis is aluminum to save weight, making this Corvette a wonderful dance partner on the track. The heavy-duty 6-speed gets revised ratios, and there's a special exhaust system that helps the big-inch block breathe. Nothing has been modified or altered, making this a true preservation piece, right down to the original 275/35/18 front and 325/30/19 rear Goodyears, which are mounted on chrome wheels that add even more sparkle to an already extraordinary-looking car.
