ONE YEAR ONLY SYCLONE, 51K ORIGINAL MILES, BEEFED UP MOTOR & TURBO, RARE TRUCK!

It's hard to find a better collector vehicle from the 1990s than the 1991 GMC Syclone. It was a one-year-only turbocharged all-wheel drive pickup with a serious midnight attitude. So while finding one of the few 2,995 examples ever is always special, this one is a unique treat with low mileage and its motor rebuilt to be even more potent.

GMC perfectly tapped into the premium/sporty truck world with a factory light pickup that looked like a full custom machine. This was a single-year run all done in black. Averaging about 1,700 miles annually already tells you this one was under proper care. The full black paint was even given a respray later in life to make sure this one still has a good shine even as it crosses the 30-year threshold. GMC gave these a great blackout look with the bumpers, grille, side mirrors, and aggressive body kit finished in this midnight attitude. There was even a factory tonneau to keep this looking black and sleek. In fact, there were only a few well-done deviations from the full blackout. The factory 16-inch alloys have a special buzzsaw style that looked like this wanted to cut into lesser pickups, and the red Syclone scripts make this one out for ...

The factory 16-inch alloys have a special buzzsaw style that looked like this wanted to cut into lesser pickups, and the red Syclone scripts make this one out for blood.

Inside, the black velour bucket seats with cool red piping mimic the exterior blackout with red Syclone side badging. This coordinates with the door panels, and it all has the clean look and less wear of a well-respected low-mileage classic. These dual bucket seats combine with the upgraded gauge package, center console, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel to really turn this truck into a sports car. This also has a ton of great features, like the power windows, power locks, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and provisions for factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You'll even spot a few worthwhile upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo and additional readouts added to the A-pillar.

What makes the Syclone a true classic is under the hood. The 4.3-liter fuel injected motor in the Sonoma was upgraded to supercar status thanks to a turbocharger and intercooler. We're told the motor was rebuilt only about 17k miles ago for added power. This included ported heads, roller rockers, TRW rods, and forged pistons. The factory Mitsubishi turbocharger has even been upgraded to a Tomioka Racing TD06-20G unit. And this now has a Conley Performance intercooler. Part of this stated history (but not fully documented) is also a rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission with 2800 stall about 5k miles ago. Turning a beefy pickup into a muscle machine was a fully engineered project at GM. The Borg Warner all-wheel-drive transfer case has a rear weight bias to give the perfect balance between performance driving and superior grip. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, ABS, a limited-slip rear end, and Bilstein shocks, and this is the truck with all the right moves to take on the streets.

The sale comes with build receipts and service manuals. This is one of the rarest and most desirable trucks of an entire generation. Don't miss your chance at an extra powerful Syclone. Call today!!!
