Here's an interesting dilemma. We saw plenty of these F-150s on the road twenty years ago as the styling mixed tough truck squareness, and the rounded aerodynamic touches, really resonated with pickup people. The problem is that today, there are not too many of these icons around that haven't seen a hard life. These F-150s were workhorses, so the few that you do find are often very far from condition they left the showroom in. This truck is the one diamond in the rough. It has great original Bright Red paint, and a straight body that appears factory fresh. The pickup's premium XLT package ensures it has all the right touches such as the chrome bumpers and trim, and the optional 10-hole 15-inch chrome wheels are in near-perfect condition. A nice accessory is a lockable Anchor cap topper that matches the red paint perfectly. For added convenience this now-secure bed can be accessed through the cab's sliding rear window.

The inside is also like a refreshing time capsule. The gray cloth bench seat shows almost no signs of wear. It has a fold-down armrest that offers space for storage and cup holders. Since this is a range-topping model, the bench gives bucket seat-like touches, such as the electronically adjusted lumbar back bolster for the driver and passenger. Another great part of a loaded truck like this is that it comes with just about everything powered – power windows, power door locks, power brakes, and power steering. The stereo is an AM/FM cassette model. There are so many adapters out there for modern music players that we think it would be a shame to spoil this unique atmosphere by replacing this very original radio. Other original options include cruise control, tilt steering wheel, and factory air conditioning. Another great thing about a modern classic is safety. This F-150 comes with a driver's air bag and ant-lock brakes.

This truck drove great new thanks to plenty of power from the sturdy 5.8-liter fuel injected V8. It also has good daily driver comfort thanks to a 3.55 rear end and front disc brakes. Of course, this F-150 is made for more than just the pavement. The 4x4 with two speed transfer case as well as the trailer hitch with factory 7-pin plug suggest this is a capable truck for bringing along the toys how ever you want to spend your leisure time. In the two decades this truck has been around it was only driven far enough to need about one oil change per year. Of course, the maintenance on this clean original pickup was much more comprehensive, and it comes with the all the service receipts to prove it.
