350 V8, AUTO, IFS, FRONT DISCS, BUCKET SEATS, CUSTOM WOOD BED, NICE!

This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 combines honest craftsmanship with hot rod upgrades.

There's a lot of work that went into restoring this truck. Check out all of the finer points that really make this pickup special. The 1951 Chevy 3100 series, did not come with much chrome, and this truck takes it a step further by eliminating the front bumper and smoothing out the front lip for a custom single-color hot rod appearance. While we're not sure of the exact name of the paint, it has so much depth that we'll just refer to it as the Purple People Eater. In fact this shade is coordinated so well that it is even used on the inner ring of the 15-inch slotted wheels. Of course where the real detailed work is apparent is the truck bed. Often custom trucks like this use a lot of brightwork, but this one uses stained wood. The polished and sealed oak wood full custom truck bed is the kind of unique piece that will have you making a lot of new friends at cars shows. This is not just some square box. It is fully functioning bed with a tailgate and rear bumper made from this distinctive lumber.

Inside is an interesting mix of old and new worlds. The bucket seats are out of a younger model Chevy truck, ... Please ask for the full description.

The bucket seats are out of a younger model Chevy truck, and the arrangement even features a useable lockable center console with cup holders. The gray carpeting and door panels appear new and match the upholstery very well. The extra tall floor shifter for the automatic transmission feels like a custom piece out a chopper motorcycle (possibly why this one also comes with Harley-Davidson branded rubber floor mats). The steering wheel has a very honest and original feel to it, but once you look beyond it, there is a new gauge package with upgraded dials to relay all this truck's vital info.

A custom pickup this cool could never live with the original six-cylinder motor known as the Thriftmaster. Instead, this one was upgraded further up the General Motors family tree with a more modern and powerful 350 cubic-inch small-block V8, mated to an automatic transmission. The chrome air cleaner and valve covers provide a bit of flash in the engine bay, and that little peek at the iconic orange of the Chevy engine block adds to this performance-oriented style. In fact, this whole truck is built to be a solid performer. The forward-leaning stance and dual exhaust help announce its beastliness, but the Sport King 215/75R15 Steel Radial tires help add comfort to the ride with the independent front I-beam suspension.

This is the kind of custom truck that only comes around one in a lifetime. Usually this kind of uniqueness is not this affordable. So grab it now before it's gone forever. Call today!
