59K MILES, 258 6 CYL, AUTO, 3 TOPS, PWR STEER, PWR FRONT DISCS, FUN ALL AROUND

Jeeps 4x4s are nearly just as much about looking chic as they are about being capable to handle any terrain. Not only can you do both in this 1980 Jeep CJ 7 Golden Eagle, but you also get plenty of cool vintage style thrown into the mix.

The Trans Am might have its screaming chicken on the hood, but that can't hold a patriotic candle to the bird that graces the front on a Golden Eagle packaged Jeep. But there's much more to this than just graphics. The Golden Eagle was a top-of-the-line limited edition package on par with the Renegade, except with greater rarity. This classic icon is dressed in dark green metallic paint with Alpaca brown accents and hardtop. It's a classy kind of color combination that looked good coming out of the Toledo factory decades ago, and it still turns heads today. Rubber fender flares add clearance for the oversized tires and give it a macho look. This Jeep also comes with a heavy duty Warn winch in front and a Jamboree rack for extra storage that mounts in the rear. Where most vehicles use chrome for added attention, this Golden Eagle stays true to its name by utilizing gold accents and wheels.

Where most vehicles use chrome for added attention, this Golden Eagle stays true to its name by utilizing gold accents and wheels.

Step inside and there are clear indications that this Jeep has led a good life. The interior is fairly original with some nice worthwhile upgrades. Factory bucket seats are still comfortable enough for bouncing around on or off the road, and the floor has nice brown carpeting that feels more polished inside than other CJs, and helps insulate from noise. There's a comfortable center console with cup holders, soft grip steering wheel, and a new AM/FM/CD stereo. The whole interior is in great condition, but of course that's the advantage of having a hardtop and steel doors that seal the cabin from bad weather. But on the days when everything is looking sunny, you can also choose either this CJ 7's included full soft top, or bikini top.

Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor that has traveled less than 59K miles since new. This is a long established powerplant for Jeep that has proven its reliability and continues to have easy parts availability. Torquey and robust, this is the engine you want pulling through daily traffic, or the worst slop Mother Nature can throw at you. The three-speed automatic feeds the stock two-speed transfer case and seriously beefy axles at both ends. Tall gears and low range give it rock-crawling stability, but thanks to the modern BF Goodrich Mud/Terrain tires, it can cruise easily at highway speeds in high range. In fact with its power steering and power brakes (with discs up front), this CJ 7 is just as comfortable being a city slicker on the weekdays as it is a country climber on the weekends.

This is an amazingly correct loaded Jeep. It has been properly taken care of all its life, and we'll even show you the receipts to prove it. Call now!!
