Owner's Manual |
The 1987 GMC Caballero was the final year for the El Camino and its rarer GMC sibling. It's an important milestone that this car/truck takes seriously. You have the numbers-matching V8, the correct two-tone looking sharp, and a comfortable A/C interior. And as you dig through all the details, it reveals a classic that's great for cruising, showing, and all-around enjoyment.
The silver and black two-tone has a distinct but familiar feeling. And the red pinstripe within the silver should really get your mind going. This GMC is borrowing some of the flair from the final Hurts/Olds! It's a great-looking total package that's also factory-correct. It has the unmistakable gloss of a quality respray later in life, and so it makes this nice to show off the sporty style. An SS-style front valance, bright side exhaust tips, and polished Rally wheels with GMC spinners in the middle continue this powerful attitude. And because this is a significant classic American, it has the right touches of premium brightwork trim, nice chrome bumpers, bed rails, and even a correct hood ornament give a significant style to the last of the Caballeros.
The sporty feeling continues inside with high-back bucket ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
The sporty feeling continues inside with high-back bucket seats and a center console in-between. It's stylish and well-preserved, which reminds you this GMC has only averaged about 1,900 miles annually. It's also a well-done package with plenty of comforts built-in thanks to the right options from the factory. So you have power windows, power locks, cruise control, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The radio is an upgraded unit and even has a CD changer beneath. You get a grippy dual-spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and this gives you a clear view of the full gauge panel, including large speedo and tach.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. The 305 cubic-inch small-block V8 was the largest offered for the time, and this is the numbers-matching unit. And while these robust V8s love upgrades, it's also nice to see an original motor that's remaining quite stock and well maintained. It inhales deeply with a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and the dual exhaust has the right V8 tune. This Caballero is set up to be an easy all-day cruiser with features such as power steering, power brakes, front discs, a limited-slip rear, and a four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the distinct and significant Caballero that's easy to drive and easy to love. Call today!!!
