2.5 4 CYL DIESEL, 5 SPEED MANUAL, 4X4, OLD MAN EMU EXTRAS, VERY COOL, MUST SEE!

This 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 is a useful and distinct 4x4. It has the kind of awesome rugged adventurer style where bystanders assume even your local run to the store is a search for new lands. And with turbodiesel power, you really can decide to turn any trip into an epic voyage.

We briefly got the Defender 90 in the USA during this era, but no one is going to mistake this for one of those. More than just the diesel badging, this is a hardtop model that was not sent across the Atlantic in 1994. So fans recognize the sloping roof, roof windows, and large rear cargo door as all part of a rare style that only comes from an individual import. In fact, the mileage on this one is in kilometers. While it's unknown if the odometer is accurate, you can tell this one has seen some use over the years. It doesn't seem like anything drastic because the white paint looks clean and complete. Instead, it just reinforces that this is not a poser's kind of 4x4 (the British would call that a “Chelsea Tractor.”) In fact, we quite like the look this one has. The full front guard, snorkel air intake, flared fenders, and larger wheel/tires (including the full-size spare) are both handy and ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

Instead, it just reinforces that this is not a poser's kind of 4x4 (the British would call that a "Chelsea Tractor.") In fact, we quite like the look this one has. The full front guard, snorkel air intake, flared fenders, and larger wheel/tires (including the full-size spare) are both handy and reinforce the go-anywhere style. So even if you just go out for sushi, most people are expecting that you're driving to the sea to get it yourself. And since the Defender line has a long history and a beloved following, you can further upgrade this to be an even more rugged and/or personal machine.

The interior gives you exactly what you want in a rugged and useful Land Rover. So the doors, floor, steering wheel, and other essentials are quite durable. It's clean, complete, and you can still clean it all out with a hose if your day out gets really fun. There are nice concessions for comfort, like a cup holder center console, a good heater, and the well-contoured high-back front bucket seats. You could add a radio or A/C if that's what you really want, but the addition we like is how they fitted a rear bench seat. It's nicely done with wide headrests, seatbelts, and mounted on steel cross-bracing. It even folds forward to make sure you can properly utilize the large rear door to load up the big cargo.

The 2.5-liter turbodiesel under the hood is a powerhouse that was never offered in the USA, but when you want the best in torque, you know it's the one to have. We have a receipt for a comprehensive service less than a year ago, and so this fuel-injected powerhouse remains a solid runner. And the five-speed manual transmission gives you full control over it all. Plus, the undercarriage photos show a custom exhaust that deletes most modern add-ons and just runs straight out the back. So yes, it sounds awesome. The high ground clearance from Old Man Emu suspension components and two-speed 4x4 transfer case assure that you can keep going even when the trail ends. And power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes are the kinds of features you want no matter if you're going up a hill or driving through downtown.

Having a Defender is all about the look of a fun and adventurous machine because that's its well-earned reputation. And you better believe a lifted turbodiesel version like this upholds that tradition as it leads the way for others. Call today!!!
