The square-jawed early 1970s Ford trucks are true icons that are becoming harder to find. So we're quite happy to offer this 1972 F-100 Ranger XLT that has had a real investment in bringing you all the features you want in a modern pickup at a value price.
The Wimbledon White paint on this truck is that great kind of color that was made legendary by Ford's Mustang. It's a classic hue that looks thoroughly modern today, which is the theme of this pickup. This F-100 has been converted to bright halogen headlights and highly visible LED taillights. These are the kinds of desirable features that you notice when driving, but they don't take away from the authentic vintage appearance. Instead what people see are the standout features like the argent silver grille sitting above a bright chrome bumper, factory hubcaps, and a set of attractive and useful bed rails along with the nice stainless trim running the length of this beauty.
Step inside, and this gives an impression of being pristinely original right down to the premium wood paneling. But take a close look, and you'll see a ton of custom upgrades.
For starters, the Mustang-inspired steering wheel is the perfect conversation piece to go with the Wimbledon White paint. The bench seat has been recovered in an attractive and durable black leather. This pickup is comfortable for all occupants with upgraded air conditioning under the dash. There's even room for modern tunes since the period-correct AM/FM stereo has hidden provisions for an iPod hookup. This custom Ford has one more amazing upgrade that is hard to see, but you'll definitely hear. Not only is most of the weather stripping new, but also underneath the new carpeting and door panels is Dynamat. So this pickup has a level of quiet that goes beyond when it was new, and even rivals modern trucks.
With all the work that has gone into the interior and exterior, you better believe there has also been some money invested in the engine bay. About a year ago the motor and automatic transmission were completely overhauled. This included giving the period-correct V8 a mild bore to 369 cubic-inches. The whole drivetrain was upgraded, including a new radiator, new suspension, and new dual exhaust system. The power brakes were even upgraded to discs up front. All of this work has less than 500 miles on it since completion. So whether you use this F-100 for work or show, it is exceptionally reliable right from the showroom.
Here's a pickup that looks like a cool classic, but leaves you wanting for nothing in modern features (we'll show you thousands in receipts worth of recent work.) Combine that with an attitude that's still not afraid to get its hands dirty, and a value price. Now you realize this is more fun and a better value than a brand new F-Series. Call today!!
