This 1953 Ford Mainline Business Coupe is pure lowrider cool, right down to the fully adjustable air ride suspension. But what makes this absolutely awesome is the attention to detail. It's seen everywhere from the real lake pipes to the award-worthy exterior paint that's carried into the interior. It all makes for a true head-turning cruiser.
Mint green with a green metallic roof is going to get you noticed. It's not only a distinctive color combo, but it has a butter-smooth finish of a well-planned and invested build. As you get closer, you can also start to see the metallic white paint done with a tapered style that makes this look even sleeker. And while you may need sunglasses to check out the green on the roof you'll be rewarded with a close-up look at the intricate hand-laid pinstripes. It's all part of an award-worthy build that has been done correctly, right down to the last detail. So you not only have whitewall tires and smooth wheel covers, but they also painted the full steel wheels the same green metallic as the roof just so a little piece of that boldness peeks out. Description
Frenched headlights, frenched taillights, shaved door handles, and real lakes pipes showcase the best of this custom car culture. And since the lowrider code is all about going slow and getting low, this green machine earns its La Tortuga (The Tuttle) name on the rear.
When you pop the remote door openers, it reveals more of the terrific custom and fresh style. The deep green and white look great against the exterior color, and you know this because the mint is on the seat frame and the metallic green is on the dash and wraps around to the doors. There is a harmonious flow everywhere you look with contrast piping the floormats and seats. And the tuck and roll insert on the seats are repeated in the door panels. You can tell that everything needed to fit into the color theme, right down to the steering wheel (that's also why the AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth is tucked away in the dash. There are nice details everywhere from the working dome light to Gene Winfield signing the dash. And just look at how the two-tone green is crisply done through the door jambs. Oh yes, this is a top-quality build. And as a true cruiser, you have nice driving features like a tilt steering column, a tall Lokar shifter, an auxiliary gauge trio, and air ride controls artfully integrated into the dash.
The engine bay has some nice polish and an overall tidy style. But you can tell its true purpose is to keep this lowrider rolling with confidence. So it's upgraded with a 307 cubic-inch V8 that features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake, and an electric fan. More than just upgraded power, you now have even more flexibility with it thanks to the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission featuring overdrive when it's time for highway driving. And while the air ride lets you dial in the ideal stance, you'll also appreciate the upgraded independent front end and four-link rear. Power steering, power brakes, and front discs complete a package that can comfortably take you to your favorite cruising spot.
You've had dreams about a custom build as thorough as this one. So if you were imagining finding one that's turn-key ready for the weekend right now. But there's only one up for grabs, so hurry up and call today!
