SOLID SOUTHERN C-10, STRONG 350 V8, 4BBL, AUTO, PWR FRNT DISC, PWR STEER, TILT!!

This cheerful-looking 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup is everything you'd want in a vintage hauler: V8 power, classic good looks, and a modicum of comfort inside. The bright red paint is a wonderful splay of color that's very welcome in today's monochromatic world, and there's absolutely no vehicle powered by a small-block Chevy that isn't a blast to drive.

Few vehicles wear bright red better than a vintage pickup truck. This clean C10 looks sharp wearing the vivid paint like a muscle car, an impression that's backed up by the truck's performance. Repainted in the not-too-distant past, it has a great shine with a lot of depth, as if someone really took their time with it. The bed sides, doors, and all the other sheetmetal is in good shape and doesn't look like it was abused during decades of work and even the bed is beautifully finished and very, very clean. There's obviously a lot of money tied up here. A bit of chrome and stainless trim gives this C10 an upscale look, and the shiny bumpers, polished stainless, and tailgate insert are in very good condition. No modifications, no cowl hood, no questionable graphics, just a solid, straight old pickup in a great color combination.

The interior is ... Please ask for the full description.

The interior is finished in simple black vinyl that suits the truck just fine. The seat cover is newer and fits well, showing a few minor signs of use but nothing worth worrying about. The wood-rimmed steering wheel on a tilt steering column is clearly not original but it's a welcome pocket of warmth in the cool black and red interior. Black carpets on the floor mean that it's easy to maintain and doesn't mind dirty feet now and again, and it adds to the plush feel that this truck embodies. The gauges cover the basics of speed and fuel level, but that's how these trucks came back then. It does, however, offer options like power steering and power brakes, plus an AM/FM radio in the center of the dash. So yes, it's basic, but that also leaves us puzzling about its above average condition. Someone clearly loved this truck, but they either didn't (or couldn't) splurge on options.

The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood needs no excuses, however. It looks very well-dressed with a chrome air cleaner up top, bright Chevy Orange paint on the engine itself, and body-colored inner fenders and firewall for a custom look. A Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold are familiar horsepower upgrades. It starts easily and has a smooth idle befitting a luxury car rather than a pickup truck and thanks to a new dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers, it has a fantastic soundtrack. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds power back to a stock 10-bolt rear end, and once again, we're amazed by how tidy this truck is underneath. It's not resoted for show, of course, but thanks to a lifetime someplace warm, the metal looks decent. Oversized Rally wheels are the right look and carry big 275/60/15 white-letter radials at all four corners.

Nothing fancy, just a solid, reliable, and downright attractive old pickup. We know how much you like these trucks, and this one has some very good bones. Call today!
