This 1969 Dodge Charger is a low-mileage build with all the best pieces. That means an awesomely sleek exterior, a subtly upgraded A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, suspension upgrades, and an awesome 440 V8 under the hood.
This is the kind of story you want on a restored classic. The consignor has had this car for a decade. He had it professionally restored out in California as a labor of love, and there's less than 950 miles on this coupe since being completed. So you have big investments in a car that has spent more time being admired in a garage than out on the road. That's why the dark red paint is ready for primetime. When the sunlight hits this metallic finish, it radiates a huge shine and depth that will probably win you awards all on its own. There's a terrific look of quality in the straightness of the body panels, the way the doors close with confidence, and the shine of the chrome bumpers and trim. And the iconic front end seems to conceal the headlights with covers that seem to fit better than the factory ever could.
If you look closely, those classic Mopar road wheels are actually more modern and larger 17-inch alloys. It's part of the well-integrated upgrades you'll see throughout this coupe.
The full black interior was part of the full restoration, and so the seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, and other fundamentals have a fresh look and feel. There are the right well-integrated upgrades like a RetroSound radio and AutoAir controls for the cold-blowing air conditioning. It makes for the kind of comfortable car that you'll happily share with family and friends. Of course in a car like this, the driver takes priority. You have upgrades like a B&M Quick Silver and a Grant GT sports steering wheel. But your favorite pieces might just be the classic driver-oriented details. This has the working turning signals in the hood, and the Rallye gauge package has a functioning tic-toc-tach.
What really makes this car a legend is in the engine bay. This coupe earns its powerful appearance with a 440 cubic-inch big block V8 under the hood. You can instantly see that the restoration budget was also used to make a terrifically tidy and polished powerhouse. And beyond the style is the substance is an upgraded package with a twin plenum air intake, Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and long tube headers feeding the H-pipe dual exhaust. There are also the right supporting components, like an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a serpentine belt system, an electric fuel pump, and an MSD ignition system. As you look underneath, the clean look reminds you of how few miles are on this build. Plus, you'll spot great upgrades like subframe connectors, a Hotchkis rear sway bar, and traction bars. You've also got a three-speed automatic transmission, a limited-slip rear end, power steering, and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes to make this big block brute quite an awesome all-around driver.
This Charger is the V8 Mopar icon with a thoughtful restoration for an award-worthy total presentation. So if you want to drive a legend, call today!
