This gorgeous 1966 Ford Mustang coupe is proof that you don't need to spend a big pile of money to get a great-looking, and driving, early pony car. With an upgraded 289, and the perfect shade of red, this is a fun cruiser that will serve you well for years to come.
Red Mustangs always instantly attract an audience, and this one does it one better, with a unique shade that is more vivid than even the factory's Signal Red. It gives this coupe a sporty look that is continued with GT equipment, such as the fog lamps in the grille, and dual trumpet exhaust pipes coming through the rear valence. Overall fit and finish is quite good, making it the kind of car you want to drive around and show off. Chrome is bright, the stainless has been polished, and all the little trim pieces are in place, right down to the proper Mustang badges. In fact, the only upgrade you'll notice immediately are the brand new Cragar wheels. Of course these are a period-correct add-on, so this just looks like the perfect 1960s pony car.
A pristine black interior is always the perfect complement to a bright red exterior. Everything from the bucket seats, to the door panels, to the carpeting carries the kind of luster ... Please ask for the full description.

Everything from the bucket seats, to the door panels, to the carpeting carries the kind of luster that tells you this has had a proper restoration, and has always been under good care. The five-dial gauge panel became standard in 1966, which offers a sportier look and holds a complete set of gauges. A period-correct AM/FM stereo provides a nice complement to the chrome trim around the gauges, heat/defrost switches, and the three-spoke steering wheel. Of course the piece of brightwork you'll really enjoy is resting your hand on the T-bar automatic gearshift. It's perfectly matched to rest your arm on the new center console with cup holders. The whole package helps makes this classic cruiser comfortable enough for even the daily commute.
Under the hood are more signs of great care, and expensive work. This 289 cubic-inch V8 looks great with the shiny elements like the GT350 brace bar, valve covers, steel braided hoses, and air cleaner. But beyond just the great-looking accessories that impress at car shows, this motor has real performance substance. The V8 breathes deeply through a Holley 650 four-barrel carburetor, and exhales with a commanding presence through headers on its way out a Flowmaster dual exhaust. It gives this Mustang a nice bark, and the horsepower bite to back it up. The three-speed automatic transmission can easily handle the extra power and keeps this classic coupe comfortably moving down the highway on longer trips.
This Mustang is a standout with its GT trim and cool paint, and we even have the restoration receipts to back up its clean looks. This is a show-stopping pony car at a surprisingly affordable price. Call today!!
