This 2006 Jeep Wrangler is proof that a more modern Jeep really gets the formula right. It still retains all the usual Jeep ruggedness, 4x4 drivetrain, classic squared-off bodywork, round headlights, and even adaptability for nice upgrades. But this modern classic proves why later models are the best with plenty of modern comforts - including fuel injection and a proper interior. So on or off-road, this is the tool of choice.
While all Wranglers are “Trail Rated,” this one's body doesn't look like there have been many hard days off the beaten path. So the factory Flame Red paint continues to have a vibrant shine. We're not saying it's perfect or you'll avoid off-road fun, but we just like the solid shine from day one. The black fenders, bug guard, and well-fitting hardtop are all part of a coordinated darkness that looks good against the red. Plus, there are also plenty of well-done shining upgrades. Some pieces highlight the iconic Jeep style, like the seven-bar grille. Other upgrades are about extra ability with the upgraded meaty wheels, tubular side steps, tubular rear bumper, and tubular front bumper with brush guard and provisions for spotlights. So in total, this is a ... Please ask for the full description.

While all Wranglers are "Trail Rated," this one's body doesn't look like there have been many hard days off the beaten path. So in total, this is a Wrangler that looks like it hasn't spent its life on the trail, but it has the upgrades already in place for when you feel like really getting out there.
While early Jeeps give you a minimalist setup, this modern one is comfortable enough to drive every day. The high-back bucket seats are all-day comfortable, and the whole interior looks good because the hardtop and full doors seal this one up properly when not a convertible. You get a ton of terrific features, like dual airbags, a tilt steering column, cup holders, and an armrest center console. These are even built with a well-done factory air conditioning system (this will likely need servicing to go from cool to ice-cold.) A full roll cage has been part of the Jeep spec sheet for decades, but this modern one takes advantage of a better design. It's not only a reassuring presence off-road, but also it incorporated nice features like thick padding and shoulder belts for both rows.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was a Jeep mainstay for many years. It's quite energetic in the relatively lightweight Wrangler and fuel injection gives it a terrific all-around dependability. It's a strong driver, and the model year is key to its desirability. 2006 was the final year of the TJ Wrangler, and it was the only time it was offered with a six-speed on models besides the Rubicon. That makes for better gearing no matter if you're on the blacktop or found a new mud hole. The same versatility comes from all-around desirable features like power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
